I have an Inspiron 7000 series, which is fantastic, but in Dell's never-ending quest for thinner laptops with metal casing, they took out some ports. They did, however, included a wonderful USB-C port, which is super fast and easy to use.Enter this hub. It's made out of aluminum and looks fantastic. It even comes with a really nice carrying case! The hub itself was plug and play, and it was super easy--I just popped it into my computer, and BOOM(!), more USB hubs.It sits flush with the casing and looks almost seamless when plugged in. Speeds were incredibly fast. When the computer is on, it has a little blue LED so you know it's plugged in and working.I couldn't be happier. I tested it with my phone (USB-C), hard drive (USB 3.0), and SD card. Everything worked flawlessly. If you need a portable USB hub that runs flawlessly, this is the one to get! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Ok if you don't mind the hub disconnecting when you plug in the power supply *by E***. on April 10, 2018* This device was attached to a 2017 15 inch Macbook Pro. If you're using another machine YMMVI really wanted to give this device a higher score than 3 stars but every time I plugged a charging cable into the passthrough port, the device disconnected all of the flash drives without unmounting them. Even worse, the drives don't reconnect until you unplug device and plug it back in.Also, the device advertises itself as a USB 3.0 hub, but devices appeared under USB 2.0 with a max speed of 480Mb/sIt also includes a useless "leather" pouch to store the hub, but I doubt it's real leather.But hey, it didn't burn me so 3 stars ### ⭐⭐ Unreliable connection *by R***Z on June 6, 2018* The little leather pouch is a nice, albeit rather unnecessary touch. But i'd prefer the thing work... After a month now of use, I have to hold it at a certain angle for it to work. It malfunctions in all four ports of my MacBook. Ya gotta wiggle the damn thing for it to connect. I mean.. it just sits there, plugged in. Wiggling to connect is unacceptable. And then it doesn't stay connected. Shenanigans! I cant afford to have my SD card/phone/hard drive randomly disconnect in the middle of file transfers.
