I am a fan of Travelpro products for their durability and performance. This version has an outstanding quality build and peforms well. Sizing fits overhead compartments with ease - an important factor with the density of travelers on each aircraft. There is not a tremendous amount of room, but I am guilty of overpacking. I use as my backup in case the main bag doesn't make it. That has happened to me more often than I would like. The bag handles well and the casing material is superior. Strongly recommend.

This is the best carry on bag I have ever owned and used. The dimensions are PERFECT for a carry on, and it fits within current carry on regulations. I like this even more than the Away hard shell luggage I tried. I found the Away luggage much harder to use. You have to place the Away luggage on a large flat surface so you can open the whole thing. The Away luggage hard shell also makes zipping up the luggage a bit more awkward. I love that you can place the Travelpro on a chair, desk, etc. and open it up easily. I also purchased this to replace a previous Samsonite carry on spinner. Samsonite is the worst, they do not back up or stand behind their products at all. A wheel broke (this luggage was only used as a carry on), and Samsonite refused to fix it. They claimed we abused the luggage. We will NEVER purchase Samsonite again, I refuse to support companies who don't stand behind their products. Upside * The smoothest rolling I have ever felt - the magnetic wheels help you luggage glide gracefully and straight across ay path * LIFETIME Warranty!! (this applies even if it's the airline's fault) - note warranty policies change, it was lifetime for me, but triple check before you purchase * Zippers are smooth as SILK! * Great construction quality, I don't expect this to ever break * The handle is solid, yet not too large, and travels up and down the side of the suitcase very easily * Lots of various compartments that are thoughtfully placed * Option to use your own power bank if you choose to * Lots of room inside to pack various items - space is not wasted with this bag! * Waterproof toiletry bag that you can remove if you want to save space * Integrated garment bag to help keep clothes wrinkle free; you can remove if you want to save space Downside * Cost - this will cost more than a lot of luggage you see out there; on the order of 2x - 4x what you may pay for something else * While this is technically the legal carry one size, I've seen people take larger bags onto airplanes (I find this rude and annoying as they take up all the overhead space, but don't get me started) Save yourself the headache of broken luggage. If you find this review helpful, please click on the HELPFUL button. I bought the Vintage Gray with the leather trim and it looks great. It arrived in a heavy cardboard box completely wrapped in plastic, so not a scratch on it. This is a smaller piece of luggage than a typical 22” piece, so it will fit almost every carrier’s carry-on limits. This luggage can pack a ton of things and is very organized. I have packed for a week in Key West, so that would include pants, shorts, swim gear, etc., and it all fit. It has outside zipped compartments for other things like your tablet, travel docs, etc. The bag materials are thick (read QUALITY, high denier ballistic nylon that will last forever), the sewing is on-point with no stitching problems, and of course, the magnetic wheels spin effortlessly and track straight when rolling (huge benefit over other luggage without wheel tracking). The Vintage Gray is well, vintage - I think the style is sharp, classy and something that will be easier to find than the standard black or navy blue of other luggage. The handle is substantial and I found it to be sturdy and comfortable, with a contoured handle. The zippers are Supra and are very strong and work well. And of course, it comes with a USB port with a dedicated power pack compartment (you have to buy the battery separately), laptop compartment and 4 pockets and a keyring in the zippered compartment. You can see in the pictures: • The spinner opens to a large, 20” cavernous compartment with a divider with pockets, and a TSA approved toiletry bag that snaps in place for easy removal if needed. The plastic on the toiletry bag is thicker than cheaper items and again, has a very strong zipper. • The main compartment is separated by a double pocket organizer that helps keep packed items secure and in place. • The front compartment is organized well with pockets, key holder, RFID protection, and a laptop and tablet pocket. The pocket for your laptop is thick and soft, so it protects your laptop even if your luggage gets bumped or dropped. Every detail screams of quality in this luggage. • There is a compartment for a battery pack that is pre-wired with a USB end that activates the outside USB port charger. This is very convenient to use and a life-saver if you cannot get to an AC outlet and need power for your phone or tablet. • And the smaller details, that increase comfort, and protection include the bottom hand grip for picking up your luggage to put in your car or airplane bin, and luggage protectors so the nylon fabric doesn’t contact the floor/ground if you have it laid down on its back. I pack with cubes and roll my clothes so I can easily get a week’s travel just taking this one bag carry-on. It fits in the bins with no trouble and the Magnatec wheels are awesome. No more fighting my wife’s cheaper spinner that seems to want to wander off, while mine just keeps moving true to a straight line. The handle is very sturdy, a problem I find with other bags. The handle is contoured and it does make pulling this very pleasant. The center separator with pockets is great to aid organization. I use a Medium and Small packing cube on the bottom, then clip the separator together, and pack another medium and small packing cube. I don’t miss the extra 2” I had with my previous bag and like the smaller/lighter profile. The smaller size makes handling it a breeze and it will pass any carriers Carry-On restrictions. I highly recommend this bag and getting it on sale is a no-brainer. Travelpro quality, durability and warranty makes this an easy decision. You could go cheaper, and you could go more expensive, so their pricing is in the middle, but their quality is unsurpassed!

Fits a lot of stuff, easy for traveling and very light.

I've used this bag a few times over the years and the quality is great! Rolls smooth and carries a lot of stuff. Removed one star due to the size. In the product description it does say, 'Slightly larger than standard 62 linear inches check-in requirement. Can still be checked on most airlines', however, on my last trip, I almost had to pay a $200 oversize fee with Delta since it is almost 67 linear inches and Delta's max is 62". This is first time in 10+ trips that I was questioned about the size, but it'll be the last time I use this luggage on a Delta flight.

Have not yet traveled with it to see how it holds up with the baggage handlers. I had a travelpro for 25 years from when I was a flight attendant. It was time to replace it. I went larger. This is certainly high end, but it is worth the money. A very classy looking suitcase as I bought the coffee color. Travelpro opens up with a top lid and doesn’t need a lot of room on the floor when traveling. Others open up like books and need lots of floor space. Packing is much easier. Wheels are smooth and travelpro will replace damages as long as I own it. Like I say, it’s not cheap and will probably be the last suitcase I purchase.

This is the perfect business travel bag. It looks new despite over a years worth of monthly flights, rolls easily, has never failed to fit in the overhead bin, and has room for one laptop in the front pocket and an extra monitor or 2nd laptop in the pocket on the underside of the lid (I often travel with my small personal laptop and a work issued 15.6 inch beast - and while I often put the larger one inside the bag, it will fit easily in the front pocket). The interior compression system is excellent too. It’s expensive, but I have not regretted buying it.

Made my travelling life easier

Bought this as a present for my daughter, who’s a doctor and often goes to several-day conferences. She loves it. I was so impressed I think I’m going to get one for myself as well.

It’s great bag very stable and smooth movement only cons about is the high price tag

This suitcase is much bigger than what I expected. It is as long as my previous suitcase but is so much deeper. It is suited to a much bigger person. I think that the 25 inch suitcase would be better for me. I would return it or try to exchange it for the smaller size but living in Australia makes it near to impossible.
