So far this welder has outperformed every welder i have from eastwoods to even my miller 135. I haven’t tried it on 220v because I don’t have it ran yet. If it can stay in this condition thumbs half up for me . My only complaint is the mig torch. Kinda a let down, just waaaayyyyyyyy too short and feels kinda cheap. I’ve had torches from yes welders before that were much better quality I need to purchase another one

I haven't welded since high school back in the early 80's. I thought I would try my hand at it now that I am retired, and enjoying my life. I chatted with Grok for a few hours during Amazon's last Prime days back in October. Grok helped me decide on what welder to get. I decided on 165 DS Pro from YesWelder. I watched some YouTube video, and felt like I was pretty much a professional by the time my welder arrived. I hooked it up, plugged it in and put a piece of angle iron on my Titanium welding table, and boom, I realized I sucked at welding. But, I did a little more research, asked some questions of my brother in law who is a 40 plus year professional welder, and he helped me dial in my settings. Now I am killing with some scrap yard steel, and some cold rolled round rod. My beads are pretty good, and I am almost done with my first project. A gate for our front yard entry. So far I have only done Flux Core, but someday I plan to get a bottle to do some MIG, and possibly a TIG gun to try that as well. I am only using it on 110v but it has the ability to do 220v as well. Easy to use once you get the idea of how to set it up for the type of steel you are welding.

Bought this to weld up 2.5 in stainless exhaust off of a 110. Using yeswelder stainless flux core at 170 wire speed and 20 is volts. I've been practicing on some sections of stainless pipe, and after about 5 hours or so ive started to get some decent welds to hold air.

Nice little machine. I have only used flux core in it and it has served my purposes well. Easy to dial in.
