Dropped in the grounds the night before, everything was perfectly brewed by morning. So as to avoid spills and leaks, you must make sure that there are no grounds or water in the grooves or on the inside lip, otherwise it will drip. Keep that dry, and if tightly sealed it can even be on it's side. We used it for a 7 days straight, and it flew in the luggage without damage.
