The gooseneck lamps are a bit floppy, but not too bad. Resolution isn't great, but it's more than enough for soldering small components. My biggest complaint is the base isn't large enough I'm working on a 92mm board, and it's always falling off the edge and I have to hold it some when I'm working. I need to find a bigger base to put over it, I guess. I didn't install any of the arms, instead I bought the right size nuts (T5-0.8) and put the screws down instead of up.
