What really surprised me is that firstly the book is good quality hardback (which I wasn't expecting when I ordered it) and secondly, all of the pages are full colour printed on glossy paper. It really is a lovely, solid book to look at. When I showed it to my husband he was equally impressed. It does stand out from the other books. The pages are a mixture of colour illustrations and text on glossy paper, scribbles and doodles but there is still plenty of text to be read on some of the pages. I've not had a detailed look through it but it almost looks like hiccup's diary, or a very good quality notebook that he has compiled (which I believe is the objective!) My daughter informs me that there is also more tuition on "how to speak dragonese" which she is very happy about. She is delighted with the book and cannot wait to start reading it.
