Seeds of fire!
I bought these Scotch Bonnet seeds thinking, “Hey, let’s grow some peppers. How cute!” Fast forward three months, and I’ve accidentally created a backyard volcano. These things sprouted with the confidence of a toddler who just learned the word “NO.” By week six, they were growing like they had something to prove — and oh, they proved it. Harvested my first pepper, took a bite thinking I was tough... and immediately saw through time. I sweat in languages I don’t speak. My ancestors called me to ask what I was thinking. They’re hot. Like “can’t-feel-my-lips-but-my-soul-is-awake” hot. Like “made-my-friend-cry-and-now-he-won’t-come-over” hot. Perfect. The plants are healthy, the yield is great, and I now live in mild fear of my own garden. 10/10, would recklessly plant again. Warning: Do not rub eyes. Or face. Or be alive near one without milk nearby.

No spice and weak plants
No heat in the peppers and the plants were very susceptible to blight. I'm growing lots of different peppers so I'm confident I what I'm doing. These were the duds of the season for me.

The plants take a few months to flower and fruit.
Mixed success in germinating seeds. I had about 86% success in germinating seedlings in winter here in North Florida. Once potted, they flowered in mid-March and are producing fruit which, as of early May, are changing color. I harvested the first fruit a few weeks ago. The fruit is large and delicious but has no heat at all. I had some minor problems with aphids but sprayed the plants with soapy water and some neem oil. This took care of the problems and all plants are doing well.

lost these for a few months, every seed germinated
these sat in the kitchen drawer for a few months. I followed the soak then plant inside the house instruction and surprisingly all the seeds in the first batch germinated. I'll report back once I have fruit EDIT 10/12/2020 unfortunately these are not scotch bonnet, very mild and sweet. I grew up in Jamaica so was pretty disappointed.
