Exact replacement and works perfectly and was delivered as promised!

Easy to install. Works as expected

Almost perfect fit, but the stem is about 1-2 inches shorter than the OEM. Therefore the valve is much closer to the body of the tank, making connections of gas and pilot tubing harder. Had to use heating gun to loosen the bolt and take some trial and error to figure out how to put half circle compression rings in the right direction! Eventually figuring out! Use dawn dish soap water bubbles to test! Everything back to normal, use the pipe sealant, pretty easy to do!

This main gas valve assembly was a more current upgrade for my 50-gallon water heater. The temperature knob had precise temperature settings markings, the ignitor button was smaller and easier to press than the old one. The threaded temperature sensor prob was pre-wrapped in teflon tape and ready to install.

Perfect fit! I would definitely buy from you again! It was such an aggravation trying to figure out why the pilot light would not turn on...and then I realized - it is probably the unit itself. I wasted money on new pilot thermostats but it did not work. SO this is how I did it: After receiving the package I carefully checked if the threads were protected and if all components were present. The unit looked new and in good shape. When installing, make sure the hot water boiler tank is empty. It will take a while to drain the water (I have a 40 gallon and used buckets), so do this during the weekend (good exercise transporting buckets to the sink. Use the appropriate wrench (3/4 for main gas and an adjustable small monkey wrench for the pilot thermostat and pilot gas connections, copper and silver colored thin tubes respectively) and remove the connections at the bottom of the old unit. If the spark maker is still good, keep the new one as a spare. Remove the protective tubing around the copper tube and apply sealing plumber goop or plumber tape around the threads before screwing onto the side of the boiler where the old one was (obviously you have already removed the faulty unit, including gas connection...do not forget to close the gas valve before starting this repair!!!!!!!!) until tight enough using a large monkey wrench able to grab both long ends of the unit. Reconnect all connections, including main gas source, check for leaks using soapy water after turning on the gas valve. By the way, the old gas control unit had a lot of hard water mineral caking on the large copper thermostat, and it still had the sheath on - which probably contributed to the failure. This boiler unit was operational for 7 years, so I expect the current control unit I have to last about the same...better than buying a new boiler at Home Depot for $400!! Thanks Rheem!

Used part was defective and a 2014 model according to the tech who tested this part who came to fix my water heater.

It works OK , just found out I did not Need it To Solve my Problem , but it in now so it will stay there !!

I need to returned but the reimburse was straightforward.
