Can I use milk to make it less fattening....Thanks!

I made the mint chip using 1 cup each of whipping cream, half & half, and unsweetened almond milk because that's what I had on hand. Texture and taste were great. Normally whipping cream is the only dairy I use ( a bit in my coffee), but good ice cream needs quite a bit of fat to have good texture and remain scoopable after storing in freezer. I've tried frozen dessert recipes w/o dairy, but they require additives I'd rather not use and get hard as a brick. So I stick with the real thing, have a 1/2 cup serving from time to time, and enjoy every bite! Everything in moderation, no problem.

So, this is not complete and we still have to add some liquid dairy cream ingredients to finish this? and this only makes 2 batches for the churner?

People like ice cream mixes for the same reason that they enjoy baking from mixes - it's easy to use and it's great family fun. Also, it turns out perfectly every time. Each box makes 2 quarts of ice cream.

Can this be used with almond or coconut milk?

Answer from the Triple Scoop Team: Coconut milk, soy milk, and almond milk work with our mixes. However, without the milk fat and cream fat, the finished ice cream product will tend to turn hard if you re-freeze it. For the best experience, we recommend that you just make it and eat it all up

Do you use one pack or both packs with the recipe you give? 2 makes a gallon right?

No, one box (1) has two (2) packets, that when combined will give you 1/2 gallon of ice cream. Now, I make 1/2 galllon of ice cream at a time (1 box). This weekend, at a camping function that I am hosting, I will make a gallon of ice cream. The instructions are geared for the smaller ice cream makers, but the instructions are super simple to follow,and make it easy to adjust your yield and give you fantastic results.

First time using this brand - only used Junket prior. This was a good mix. It didn’t clump together which was a problem we had with Junket. We got the birthday cake. I’d recommend spooning the mixture into the maker - the sprinkles did settle a bit. But it was overall very good and we’ll buy it again

Doesn’t taste bad, but it also doesn’t taste like birthday cake ice cream either. It tastes like vanilla with rainbow sprinkles thrown in. It’s easier to save my money and make it on my own with less chemicals.
