Boots fit great! Best purchase I've ever made.

I was shopping for a better looking and quality boot. This started off with me viewing redwings and Irish setters. I read good reviews about the Thorogoods and decided on these. I'm super impressed with the quality of the boot. They were relatively easy to break in and are the most comfortable boots I own. I without a doubt will be purchasing thorogoods again! Edit: this is now my 2nd pair of Moc toe thorogoods, the first pair is still kicking, but they are my dedicated riding boots. The new pair is what I wear to work every day in my office job, they are great looking, high quality, more comfortable than being barefooted boot. I can not say enough good things about the quality, value and appearance. Top notch.

Three stars for now. They are about a half size larger. I ordered the wide version and they fit pretty decently. Seems like a well constructed boot. Stitching is nice all the way around. The only downside I had with them in the few days of owning them was how the brass eyelets are fastened to the boot. When you lace up the boot fully and make sure it's tight. The inside of the eyelets are a sharper rivet material which has showed wear on the tongue from the eyelet rubbing against it. This has hit a point in just a few days that it has worn the black off the tongue where the eyelets are. I don't see a way to remedy the issue being the tongue is going to move forward with how your foot moves.

These are truly nice boots and well made. Perhaps everyone asks the question: Is it worth a few extra bucks to buy an American made pair of boots? Well, the answer came in a large colorful cardboard box from Wisconsin. I don't think I will ever go back to Wally World for a pair of boots, I will look to the hard working folks from Wisconsin. They are generous in size though and I assume that would be the case for a broad range of sizes, not just my big feet. But I had planned on using a Doc S insert so it worked out well. Everything about these boots is good: the leather, style, and craftsmanship.
