Frigidaire EFIC117-SS 26 Pound Ice Maker, 26 lbs per Day, Stainless

We ended up buying this Frigidaire Portable Ice Maker after the ice maker in our fridge went out—and honestly, it turned out to be a better replacement than what we had before. Setup was super simple. Just add water, plug it in, and within minutes it starts producing ice. It’s surprisingly fast and keeps a steady supply going throughout the day, which is perfect for daily use or when you have people over. The 26 lbs per day capacity is more than enough for our household. We’ve never run out of ice, and it’s actually more convenient than relying on the fridge since it produces fresh batches continuously. The size is great too—compact enough to sit on the counter without taking up too much space, but still powerful enough to get the job done. It also runs fairly quietly, which was a nice bonus. Build quality feels solid, and it’s easy to clean and maintain. Overall, this ended up being a huge upgrade for us. If your fridge ice maker dies or you just want something more reliable and efficient, this is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Hace muy rapido los hielos, lo estoy haciendo en el tamaño pequeño. Y eso es lo que he venido reservando. Porque se tienen que ir guardando en cuanto se llena la canastilla. Estoy encantada.

Started off not so great as I had received what I believe to be a defective unit. Sat on my counter for 3H after delivery unplugged waiting for everything to settle. Filled with water, plugged in and ran a first test cycle which did nothing. Lights turned on and corresponding cube size light turned on(white light -will be relevant later). Unit ran for 1H straight without producing any ice. I had followed the troubleshooting steps afterward(unplugged for an additional 2H, tried different power outlet, insured unit was flat, drained and used cold water straight from the fridge to fill(just below MAX Line) to no avail. I then reached out to Customer Support and was greeted by a very friendly and professional team member who again walked me through the troubleshooting steps(which I exactly had done on my own previously but repeated). Ended up coming to the conclusion that I had received a defective unit and a replacement was sent - Amazingly the replacement came the next day before I even rolled out of bed at 7:00am. Went through the setup steps again with the replacement unit, waited 2H for everything to settle before powering on. Filled with cold water, turned on and was greeted by a Green Light on both the ON Button and Ice Size. Aaaaand... PERFECT! Basket was full of ice within 15min. I tossed the first batch and made a second to avoid any chemical tastes. Second batch was great and made just as quickly. This unit is absolutely amazing, it makes ice in the time it advertises. However if you are going to be making ice and transporting to a freezer, you will need to break them up as they do come out a bit wet and will stick together when they are put into a freezer. But for the time it takes to make ice, you really don't need to be putting any in the freezer unless you're filling a large cooler(probably cheaper to buy a bag of ice from a store than run the electricity bill in that case).

Our icemake in our refrigerator broke (avoid Samsung appliances), so we bought this. It worked great for a year with us making ice almost daily. We bought a new refrigerator and passed this on to our son. It continues to work. Would buy again.

Me gustó, tarda aproximadamente de 7 a 8 minutos para hacer cada ronda de hielo, entre más tiempo está prendida funciona mejor y saca mejor hielo, muy buena para uso doméstico o comercio con bajo flujo de clientes y buen precio.
