Eaglemoss Star Trek Starships Large Enterprise NCC-1701-A Die-Cast Metal Vehicle Special #21

What did I like about this product? It is the model of my favorite starship, the NCC-1701-A USS Enterprise. I got this Eaglemoss and her smaller version for Trekonderoga Event that was from July 23rd-25th for when William Shatner, Captain James T. Kirk, visited Ticonderoga NY for his 90th birthday celebration. I even got William Shatner to sign her. This ship and her smaller versions will forever be my pride and joy in my small Star Trek collection. if I am lucky enough I may even try to get her signed by the remaining Original Cast members if they come to Ticonderoga NY.

Very well built, although I don't like the stand. And it's 1:1144 scale. I needed to know.

Durable, balanced, die-cast, mostly made of metal and some plastic parts. Not goofy-looking, but a little "conservative", How old was I, six, when I built my first AMT plastic model kit of the original NCC-1701? They never lasted long, mainly because I couldn't resist playing with it. 😃 But. I also found the body with base was unbalanced, where the replica would lean too far forward or backward when the nacelle engines were weighed down. Everything balanced on this model, but Eaglemoss chinzted just a little on the base and stem - - I think they should have been made of metal, as well. Makes a great desk ornament for Trekkies.

The Eaglemoss products are top quality and the XL models are the best the Enterprise-A is very well detailed and Aztec painted. You can't go wrong!
