It powered up and worked perfectly. The Hanmatek DOS-1102S (with internal waveform generator) or the Hanmatek DOS-1102 (without the internal waveform generator) are excellent Oscilloscopes for the beginner. Spend time reading the manual and perform simple measurements to get use to the controls and settings. Make sure the channel and scope probes are set to the proper 1x or 10x. If HV voltages, higher than 400VDC are present, ensure to use the HV 100x probe. Do NOT use the 1x/10x probe when voltages higher than 400V are present as you will damage the scope and the probes. When the Oscilloscope's power button turns the Oscilloscope OFF, the AC power is still applied to the 5V 2amp USB power source plugged into the wall or power strip outlet. I control power tor my devices that are powered by the 5V 2amp USB power source from a power strip.
