I had a lava and granted, they are great! But my lava broke as the plate kept falling out. I got this one as it still reached the 425 temp however, after multiple times letting it heat back up and straightening, my hair was not straight. This does not leave a glass finish. It does not stay heated to 425 and it doesn't even seem to get to that temp in reality. Very disappointed in Chi!
