No sabia que la herramienta ya traia una funda propia, sin embargo me alegra haber adquirido esta ya que es mucho mas versatil y comoda para usar y guardar facilmente al tenerla en el cintyo y ademas puede ser colocada en otros lugares como cajas, carros motos mas facilmente

fits ok but seems designed for a left hander. with the tec-lok mounted on the right side, there is no way to hang it so you can easily unsnap the safety strap and draw it with the right hand.

Fits perfectly. Much more durable sheath than nylon one tool came with. Very pleased company had this optional sheath for this versatile heavy duty tool.

If you have the axe, this is a no brainer. The sheath included with the axe does not allow for versatile mounting option and this one does.

I actually sent the first one I ordered back thinking that it was defective. There was no way to snap the holding strap with the hatchet in the sheath, it was just too short. Unfortunately I had Amazon replace it with the same sheath thinking the original one was defective. Guess what? the holding strap on the second sheath is still too short!! Unless you have fingers like a gorilla or have a nylon stretcher ( you'll find them in the same isle as the bacon stretcher ) the time and effort that it takes to secure the strap is ridiculous. I tried a pair of pliers and it still couldn't reach. Offgrid really needs to rethink this design. I'm returning the second ( non usable ) Kydex sheath for the leather sheath. Hopefully it will be a more pleasant experience.

Nice solid sheath for the axe. Carries well. Easy to remove/reinsert.
