6-month Update: The RO continues to perform excellently, with no leakage or unexpected issues since installation. We are preparing for our first CF filter replacement; the advisory beeps are audible but not excessively loud (RO unit is installed in a closed-door under-sink cabinet). We also added our refrigerator ice maker to our Waterdrop system, and it seems to be performing well. I believe this RO is a far better system than our old one, and recommend it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Original Review: We purchased and installed this RO filter almost a month ago. Here are our impressions: - The taste of the water produced is excellent, much better than the old system this one replaced. - We experienced no leakage after installation, again an improvement. - It has a much smaller under-sink footprint than our old one. - Filters are easy to remove/replace. - Installation was easy, especially with multiple videos, instructions, and diagrams. - The unit feels very well put together, and all the parts were there. - It makes some normal noise during operation, but not so loud that it is distracting or annoying; our refrigerator ice maker is about the same level. I don't see it as a detractor. - Customer Service: This is where Waterdrop really shined in my family's eyes. Our Customer Service Rep, Krystal X, responded within hours of our initial request for help, and on a weekend to boot. She took the time to gather pertinent trouble information, get it to her engineers, and had a response and had parts on the way almost immediately. It is clear she and Waterdrop care about the quality of their product and taking care of their customers, and stand by their product to fix any concerns immediately. Krystal took personal ownership of our ticket, and saw it through the process to final resolution. I feel like this is a level of customer service that so many businesses simply don't deliver these days; in my opinion she would be an excellent trainer of other reps, or a great supervisor/manager. Please pass on our thanks to her, Waterdrop! As mentioned above we had a small issue, but since it was resolved and didn't involve something we saw in other reviews, I think it may be a one-off circumstance that was satisfactorily fixed by Waterdrop. I do know we are happy with our improved water quality. Thank you!

The Water Drop Alkaline 500 GA is an amazing unit. It is reasonably priced, quiet, reliable and looks nice under the sink. The water matches the claims in removing heavy metals, fluoride, and restoring alkalinity. Installation is manageable and I have had no leaks. I did need customer service which was incredibly helpful, namely Rosie C., from customer service provided quick, reliable and useful information and product, resolving all issues and questions I had about the unit. This had to do with the box not reflecting the unit I purchased. She was amazing! She understood my concern easily and satisfied it quickly and efficiently. The taste of the water is better than I expected or even hoped for. It is easy to drink a lot of it .Personally, I also believe that the quality of it is such that it is very cleansing to all the organs and especially the kidneys. One morning I was fasting due to bloodwork for an annual physical. I was drinking water from the unit instead of morning coffee. The test on my Kidney function came back near perfect. I am happy with this product and would recommend it highly. Rest assured, if your like me, and a bit inexperienced with plumbing and water systems, you will receive excellent support both telephone and email from those who assist with customer service, should you need it. I am enjoying my purchase and feel my choice was best for me.

This unit functions well with just a slight humming sound when dispensing water. The water tastes great. The installation was very straight forward, I did however encounter a couple of challenges that were perhaps unique to my environment which I will detail in sections A and B below. I do appreciate the assistance I received from the support agents for this product to resolve these issues. Installing the small "pure water" faucet was easy since I already had a 1 an 1/4" hole (this was the maximum hole size for this faucet.) Installing the drain connection was easy since it just requires drilling a small 1/4" hole in the existing drain pipe, and clamping on the fitting. Section A. The unit comes with a "Y" adapter for the water supply, 1 side for the existing (large) faucet flow and the other for the plastic tubing to supply the filter system. I was replacing an existing water filtering system, so I already had a dual water outlet shutoff valve in place. Initially I tried connecting the "Y" adapter to this dual water outlet valve and capping the extra outlet, but it caused the unit to beep and not function, however, once I cut off the existing dual outlet valve and replaced it with a single outlet valve, and then connected the "Y" adapter to that it worked fine. Section B. I had an existing electrical outlet under the sink that I intended to use for powering the filter system, the problem is both of the plug-in's were switched with the existing garbage disposal (yes, I should had expected this,) so it wasn't possible to switch the power for the garbage disposal and water filter system separately. I contacted the support number and they suggested adding a remote control outlet plug to control the garbage disposal separately while leaving the original switch in the "on" position for the filter system. I found a good inexpensive remote control outlet plug on Amazon in the "Zoiinet" store. Fyi, I also saw another posting stating that they were able to plug the filter system into the dishwasher outlet for this, but it would had been difficult routing the cord in my configuration. I'm pretty sure I would had encountered these issues with any other powered system I might had purchased, but with the support provided I was able to complete the installation successfully.

It was a great buy !! I bought it 10 months ago. The hardest part was drilling the hole in my countertop, as it was something I had never done before !! Other than that, I found the official instructions and videos not so detailed, so I had to find some help from a few YouTubers, and found some very useful and comprehensive videos on installing the systems. of this brand. I needed to drill another hole in the drain pipe, and that was the other tricky part, but it wasn't that hard, just you won't get a quick install if it is your first time drilling your pipeline and counter :) The best of this system: - There is no tank, so if you have a small counter space, this is a great choice. - The quality of this purified water, it considerably reduces all these bad particles, chemicals and heavy metals - The taste of water is simply delicious and you get it in seconds. - You can do the installation. - The price could be a bit high but for the quality and performance I found it very fair. Overall, this is a great product and I'm very, very happy with it!

Great product so far. Has a 30 min shut off where the system has to be reset every time it goes past 33 min. Kinda annoying but water is great. 20 ppm from tap water. Increased the alkaline of our tap water by a little over a full point. From 7.3to 8.5 ph. Water has absolutely no taste. Great for hydroponic systems as well.
