This brush is deceiving. It doesn't look like much because it's slim, and the nylon bristles look spiky -- almost like they would be uncomfortable. Combined with the price, I almost didn't get it. But I am very impressed with it. I would not use this as an everyday, all purpose brush but rather for specific things like fluffing a little bit here and there, light teasing for volume, and smoothing out straggles after you've styled your hair. The plastic spikes are firm enough to stand up to thick/curly hair, and the tip ends are polished and rounded, so it glides comfortably against the scalp. I think it is prettier than the photos show. I got the "pewter" color and I thought it was going to be a dull, drab, army grey, but it's shimmery and glossy, like a dark silver pearl. Overall this is a nice, solid brush for your beauty tool kit, and well worth the price.

I have an unusual abundance of waist length, super tangly, flyaway hair. I've been looking for a brush that would stimulate my scalp, because it gets irritated by androgens that normally come out in hair oil, I guess. I HATE those brushes with the little plastic heads on each bristle. And boar bristles are too weak to even get through my hair to touch my scalp at all. This brush amazed me right away, by making short work of my tangles. I was slightly disappointed that their ARE super tiny, almost invisible plastic heads on each bristle, so it's not very stimulating to my scalp. I wished it would scrape away the irritation, like that pink Goody brush I had, did when I was a kid. This one did work on my scalp better than 99% of brushes out there though. It's weird that some people are saying this brush cut their scalp "like knives". That's impossible, as you'll see if you look closely at the bristles, and see the super tiny round, beaded head of each one. I'm including a pic of the bristles up close. I couldn't get all my hair out of it for the pic, so sorry about that. This brush got through all my 2 feet long super thick, tangled hair in record time. It was a miracle. Never seen anything like it. Afterwards, I got my old nylon bristle brush out, for scalp scrubbing purposes. It started tangling my hair up just inches past my scalp. I used this brush to get those tangles out. I'm including as well, a pic of the nylon bristle brush that tangles my hair up.

Have needed a replacement and found it on Amazon. I used my old brush for 20 years. Love this brush. Fits in my hand well and combs thoroughly. Highly recommend!

I originally bought the Lady Catherine brush which works perfect but is more difficult to carry around and clean due to its bigger size and bristle density. So I leave the Lady Catherine at home and take this one with me on the go. This one is half the size with less bristles. The bristle firmness is perfect and the fewer bristles makes a quick clean super easy without getting my fingers poked. It does just a good a job as its bigger sister.

Great detangler brush! I am an AA with natural C3 hair and have a teenage daughter with hair that is down her hair back and mine shoulder length and having no relaxer or perm it is difficult to comb through (normally get silk press but COVID has us indoors). I have purchased every detangling brush or comb and either too soft and merely guides on the top of our mane or the bristles are cheap and pops our hair. I figured why not purchase another useless brush and oh my goodness I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! My daughter could not believe it, it does not pulls or hurt, the bristles actually goes through your hair with ease, it is truly AMAZING! For it to be thin in stature it’s a strong brush and this is my second purchase so I can have my own. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I had to for folks that are having a heck of a time with their hair...this brush will not DISAPPOINT! Oh I use it on wet and dry hair so give it a try I think you’ll be IMPRESSED!

This is the best brush I’ve ever had. I’ve had to reorder the same brush about 5 times. I even had one specifically for my long-haired dog. She loved it too. It is great for heavy long hair and short hair.

I’ve used this brush for probably 40 years & love this brush! I have thin fine hair that easily tangles & find this brush to get out any tangles without any damage to my hair. It’s my must / go-to brush! Love it!!
