I have gone through quite a few of these Broan/Nutone motors in attic fans. The "permanently lubricated" motors tend to seize up and overheat and burn out after only a few years of use. Buy a more expensive fan with a much better warranty (i.e. CoolQuiet). Despite costing 2x, the warranty alone will pay for itself, not to mention the significantly lower power usage for higher CFM. All of these 4 and 5-star reviews must not have used this motor for any length of time. For $99, I expect a lot more than 5 years (at most).

This replacement motor has a one year warranty. It failed after the first year and before the second season of use. Do not buy.
