I used this to make side dishes for Thanksgiving and it performed like a champ -- it heated up VERY quickly. I have never used an induction hob before. I have multiple Staub cocottes so the round shape works well for the pans I have. I did find the temperature interface to be a bit confusing -- the slide-out controls are very sleek at the expense of clarity. Read the included instructions (which are clear) to avoid making a mistake.

I used it to prepare a large batch of slow-cooked green beans. I followed the recommended cook time and the beans did not cook completely. In fact, some beans remained cool throughout the entire slow-cooking process. This gadget turned out to be quite an expensive disappointment.

On manual it goes from 210 degrees (no boil) to 215 (fast boil) with nothing in between. So as long as you don't expect to simmer anything it will work. I returned it for a commercial induction cooktop, for the same price with metal construction, better control, and 1800 watts of power. Thank you Amazon for accepting my return.
