I had a 24" flat screen TV perched somewhat precariously on a slim long folding table set at an angle so I could see the TV from my desk and not have the TV fall off the table. I keep looking for something to place the TV solidly on the table so it wouldn't fall off and swival, too. I found this swival base which fit the bill sizewise perfectly. This base really has applications for much heavier things like my 27" iMac. Which it would easily hold plus the two external drives on either sides of the base. Plus the keyboard and a mouse pad with mouse. All able to swival together on this large base. Might do that later but for now I don't need it.

This is perfect for anything that needs to swivel but also needs to remain steady and solid. I have this under a 65" tv and it works just fine. I also have another one under a fake fireplace floor heater for directional heat and it works even better! Not having back corners really helps increase the swivel angle when close to a wall. Highly recommend.

Let me tell you a little something about this Aleratec 12-inch Round heavy duty swivel roating stand w/ steel ball bearings for flat panel TV’s laptops, and speakers…..It’s not just for the office space any longer! I bought multiple of these rotating swivel stands for my office a few months ago for use of our monitors for video teleconferencing and speaking or camera positions. They make it so convenient to be able to swivel the screens or microphones around making it directionally appropriate without having to worry about moving wires or possibly disconnecting something from the equipment, etc. After I got kudos galore from work for getting these god-send swivel rotating stands, I had an epiphany! Follow me here……. I was in the middle of home kitchen remodel and I had to pick out all the details from floors, appliances, hardware, granite, sink, wall color… you name it, I had to do it and then it came to me while talking with the granite guy. I asked him plainly, “while you are cutting out my granite, can you cut out another piece in a 13” round?”. He said, why? Then followed that with uhhh, that’s not easy to do without putting a hole in the center. I said “no”, I didn’t want a hole in the center. I wanted a perfectly round piece of granite to match my granite countertop and I wanted it 13 inches and he could do it! Yes, I was that matter of fact. I tell ya, when I get my mind on something I really stick to it. WELL, that day passed and the next day I personally (not on my work card) ordered this rotating swivel stand. The very same ones that I previously ordered and got raves from my bosses for orderting for their computer equipment. What was I up too?? I had this item in hand in days from Amazon and when the granite delivery came, the guy rolled in to my house with a perfect 13 inch round piece of granite. I placed the 12 inch rotating stand down on my new beautiful granite island and then placed the 13 inch round granite piece on top of it. It held the weight, it looks spectacular, and now I have a wonderfully awesome lazy Suzanne for my brand new kitchen. The contractors thought it was the coolest thing ever and I think so too. Heavy Duty Swivel Rotating Stands aren’t just for TV stands any longer. Woo Hoo. I love it! I have these large speakers on carpet and wanted a solution to allow easy spinning for best stereo effect. Took a chance on these and WOW! Speakers weigh about 60lbs, pretty thick carpet, and these things work perfectly for my application!

This item came as describes. I have my 50" TV weighing approximately 50 pounds sitting on this swivel without any problems. I waited a couple months before writing this review and it is still holding up strong (no distortion or tilting). The swivel action is fluid and the base is level. The only issue I have is that it swivels too easily, a more rigid swivel mechanism would be great. All in all a good product for the price point. Aesthetically, it is pleasing; low profile and black base.

I bought the 21" version. I don't know if it will hold 220 pounds, that's a little hard to imagine, but it works perfectly for my new LG C4 77" tv. It is so convenient to effortless angle the television so that it faces me wherever I am in my wide living room.
