Preservative Eco – Broad Spectrum Natural Preservative for Water-Based Cosmetics | Ideal for DIY Creams, Lotions & Serums | Gentle, Plant-Based (1 Litre)

I chose this because it is natural and a broad spectrum preservative. It arrived quickly with a long expiry date. Although the quantity is small, using it at 1or 2% it will last a long time. The integral dropper in the neck of the plastic bottle allows accurate measurement. So far it has kept my body butters and sugar scrubs fresh and safe to use. Theoretically these don’t need preservatives, but at some point in use they get water contamination and Presevative Eco means they are still safe afterwards. I have sensitive skin and not had any trouble with using this preservative so far. Update 07/03/24. I have just bought my second bottle of this. It’s really good stuff.

Like another customer said, the shelf life is limited. I got it today (07/02/25) and it expires 06/08/25-and then I had to pay for postage? Seriously when it expires in 6 months? I won't by buying this again considering I've purchased preservatives from this brand before, and they've had a much longer shelf life.

I am very dissapointed with this Preservative Echo . Aromatics advert says that the product is "Typically sold with 6–9 months remaining on a 12-month shelf life" I got mine today 23/07/25 but my bottle expires 26/10/25, that's 3 months. This is false advertising folks.

I purchased this item and it only had six months shelf life. I think that at least a year is appropriate to use this item.
