Effective way of presenting challenging issues
This is a good publication. I returned it because it was not suitable for the child I had in mind. I have reflected this in the overall rating. Older teens would find this instructive and enjoyable read.

Reflective writing in the classroom and outside of it is often a hard habit/skill to cultivate, but literary examples take the edge off the intimidating prospect of journaling. Every year I assign journals as warmups. Each warmup is either a specific prompt or a student choice prompt. Reading a short and sweet reflective story/journal from this book helps students gain confidence in their readers voice, feel less intimated to write through example, and can connect meaningfully through stories about teens on teen issues. Even if you aren’t an educator, this book should be on your teens desk as home. It’s an almanac for difficult moments and what to do or not do.

Bought for my preteen daughter just as a another tool in these crazy times she is in. I read these books when I was her age and they were great then!
