READING IS FUNDAMENTAL
TLDR: AMAZING product, easy install and, most importantly, IDIOT PROOF! Now for the review: I like pretty things. So, when I saw these privacy films on a buzzfeed post, I knew I had to have them! I bought the one-way privacy film and the pretty rainbow one. Well… my excitement got the best of me. The films come with instructions but, how hard can it be, right? I opened the box, threw away the directions, and started “installing”. First mistake. If I would have read the directions, I would have known that I had to ADD WATER TO MAKE IT STICK. I figured it out a little later than I would have wanted, and thankfully I only made one scratch on the film. Once you add water, the films stickiness is unmatched - it gives you some grace to move it around, but it will stick after a little while. Second mistake: buy the right size for your window! I was too hurried to measure my windows, and bought a size too small. I thought “oh, that’s fine. I can just cut it.” Well yes, and no…. The film is easy to cut and tailor to your window… IF you’re able to cut in a straight line. I went at it with a little blade and obviously did not get the straight lines this film would have gladly given me. Despite my inability to read, the film doesn’t look all that bad! It’s definitely a one-way screen and, if you look outside through your window, you can still see the outside very clearly with a nice blue tint. It definitely makes a difference against the sun, and my room feels a bit cooler. After butchering the privacy screen on the first install, I decided to read the directions for the pretty white one that emits rainbows: a world of a difference. The instructions take no more than 30 seconds to read, and it made a complete difference! No bad lines, no ugly streaks, no mistakes. Took me less than 5 minutes to install after I left the film under some books to straighten it out. I love these films and, once I get over how stupid I was the first time, I’m definitely going to buy these again to re-do the first window. I don’t regret this purchase! Beautiful tint at a very affordable price.

Great Quality!
Beautiful design. I’ve had these for almost a year and they’ve held up all this time. They are expensive for what you are able to use, that is my only complaint. Although this is the standard for privacy film and this is a good brand, it would be nice if they were more affordable when you have a big project on hand. The flower design is beautiful, rainbows fall throughout the room when the sun is shining in the direction of each window. Of all the windows I used, only the kitchen had a clear view in certain places (like a petal) when standing directly in front of it outside at night, but otherwise was not. All of the other windows you could not see inside through the petals (where there isn’t much texture.) No peeling or coming off. If you ever do have a corner that comes up due to incorrect install or cut, you just spray a little water in the corner and on the film and it will go right back down. It’s so easy to use that taking it off and putting it back on again isn’t a problem should you ever need to re-apply water and re-stick. It blocks light during the day without actually taking your sunlight. It provides great privacy and looks beautiful doing it. I recommend this brand and this particular pattern, I love it. I have since ventured into trying another kind and that provides a more colorful rainbow prism effect constantly, could be where my window is placed though. It’s the clear kind with leaves going throughout, both are beautiful to mix and match.

All the light, none of the peeping
The en suite bath for my bedroom has a nice corner tub with two windows on either wall -- two to the east, two to the south. They are fairly narrow windows but they let in a wonderful amount of light. We have had half-curtains (cafe style) hanging in these windows, but the cats severely object and do their best to destroy the curtains in order to get unobstructed sunlight. I've used window film in a few places and love the ability to introduce light and color in spaces while maintaining privacy. My biggest disappointment: so many lovely rolls are only available in rolls that are narrower than 18"! They're just a bit too narrow for the narrower windows as well as the window panels in the french doors. It's really frustrating having to piece everything in order to fit the width of the glass. That said, this works beautifully. TIP: USE LOTS OF WATER! Seriously. Spray water on the window until it's literally dripping down the window. If you're having trouble with sticking the film on, add more water. If you need to realign the film a little bit, use more water. If you need to add another strip to make it wide enough, add more water. When in doubt, spray more water on the window! For these windows I decided to skip buying a whole additional roll of film in order to fit the width. I used a basic frosted glass film to frame the design film for the full width. These went up really easily and smoothly. They've stayed adhered well so far and look wonderful with great privacy.

Pretty privacy film
This window privacy film looks really nice and adds a decorative touch while still letting in light. It provides good privacy and definitely improves the look of the window. Installation was mostly straightforward, but it was a little difficult to smooth out completely and I did end up with a few small bubbles. With some patience it turned out well overall. Happy with the purchase and would still recommend it, just take your time during application.
