Works great and fits well!! I like having this for when my top is down or off completely. Just adds a little security while driving down the road.

I am a state-permitted wildlife rehabilitator, and I sometimes end up with fairly mature animals. I recently received a couple of large male raccoons as a product of law enforcement confiscation, and they were too large for the hanging planter baskets that I typically use. SO, I got this tailgate net. When it arrived, I was slightly concerned that curious little fingers and teeth would figure out how to get the velcro straps undone, and result in a rather ungraceful plummet to the ground below. However, the velcro straps are thick and strong, and held two 20 pound (obese upon their arrival) raccoons for months with no issues. I placed the tailgate turned hammock once, and left it. It held up to two fat trash pandas for months before they were released. Great product for my needs. Fatty in a hanging planter for cute points (and comparison to tailgate hammock).

There's no way I'd be comfortable on this. Instead, I used it as a kind of shelf or attic to store things during a cross country trip. I've also been hanging things from it as well. I highly recommend it as a cheaper alternative to a MOLLE panel.

I never did see the purpose of these but they do look cool! I suppose, if I was to find a purpose other than cosmetics, I'd say they're good for catching things that would otherwise get blown out the back by the wind if left untethered.
