The PlayStation sits in a small recess on top of the stand allowing the PS4 to stand upright in the stand freeing up worktop space. The PS4 is cooled via two small fans which sit below the recess.The other side of the stand has space to plug two PS4 controllers into so that you can keep them fully charged when not in use. Yes this will charge the controllers as they clip into two raised input plugs, although you do have to take care when plugging them in.On the front of the stand are three USB sockets which are very handy indeed for plugging other accessories into, or using them as charging ports for a phone, tablet or other device. I find it very useful for plugging in a small USB fan for blowing cool air whilst gaming whilst using another USB port for charging a phone.In use, my PS4 fits snugly and securely into the recess, with the fans keeping my PS4 cool. The stand is powered by a small USB cable which fits into the USB port on the PS4. This stand is a very nice accessory to have as keeping my PS4 cool should help prolong it's lifespan, it should also help cure any heat related lock-ups or other glitches whilst gaming.This is a very nice PS4 cooling stand, it is virtually silent in operation and does it's job well.
