Having read the ingredients listed there are two ingredients that may be in question for people with gluten intolerance, Dextrin and Malt Extract. Dextrin is often made from gluten free ingredients but sometimes made from wheat. Malt Extract is derived from barley. Both Dextrin and Malt Extract are highly processed. During extraction process, gluten proteins are removed. The end result, if the product is less than 20 parts per million of gluten then it is legal to be called gluten free. There are a total of 20 pouches. The outer packaging that is displayed acts as a carrier and has a white plastic handle on top. Inside the carrier are 2 nicely designed perforated red boxes (reflecting the product, of course) each containing 10 pouches. Great packaging design as well as the product.
