(The machine was a total waste of money. Never worked and non responsive seller.) This yeast is good, I proofed it before using in the recipe included with the bread machine. The loaf did not rise. Four inch brick of dough. I have used this brand of yeast in previous bread machine and it always worked. The loafs rose well and had a good flavor. I used Fleischmann's in many recipes both in a bread machine and in hand made loafs of bread. It always worked in bread loafs, buns, rolls, whatever I baked at the time. Even new recipes trying for first time. Fleischmann's brand yeast is dependable, easily found, and has always worked for me, I have been baking our breads for over 60 years and this yeast is very good, reliable. This yeast I bought could not rise the bread this time, which I believe to be due to the bread machine used. I tried several brands of yeast all failed. That cannot be the yeast. If biscuts don't cook in the oven it is the oven not the dough.
