I ordered this Body Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin because it promises a gentle formula that cares for the skin while removing hair. The product has a nice presentation and even shows a clear manufacturing and expiration date, which is important to me and gives me confidence in the product. The smell is very similar to other depilatory creams I’ve used over the years, so I can’t yet say how well it works, since I recently did a full hair removal and haven’t tested it for complete use. I did a sensitivity test on my hand for 10 minutes with just a small amount spread over a decent area. After washing it off, my skin felt smooth, with no irritation or redness. I’m excited to try it fully and see if it really works. So far, my first impression is good, but I still need to test its effectiveness, durability, and overall functionality.

I’ve used body hair remover creams before but never as a part of a shaving routine as this one suggests. You’re supposed to put it on for 15 minutes and then shave it off. I tried it in multiple areas and found it to work no better than just shaving, with hair growing back in after a day or so. The smell wasn’t as bad as some others, although the others tend to work on their own, only needing to wipe them off to remove hair. There’s a reason this is inexpensive.

Before applying this to any sensitive areas of my body, I thought I’d try it on my lower leg first since I haven’t shaved in about a week (don’t judge—life has been busy). It came with the proper safety seal and a spatula that you use to apply and remove the cream. After opening it, I followed the directions for use and applied a thick layer with the spatula. The instructions say to wait at least 5 minutes, but no longer than so minutes, so I went in between and gave it about 8 minutes. It was very easy to scrape off using the spatula and most of my hair went with it, but not all. I was still left with tiny stubbles that made my legs less than smooth. I have very fine, blonde leg hairs so maybe they need to be a bit thicker to really absorb this stuff. I’m not sure. Another reason I gave it only 3 stars is because the scent was a bit strong. Luckily, I could move my leg away from my face, but if this is being used anywhere on the upper body the scent might be a bit too overwhelming.
