Is the shampoo supposed to foam well once applied? I just tried it and it did not:-(

It does not foam much especially if your hair is on the oily side like mine. The intent of Original Sprout products is to stay away from toxic ingredients. Most shampoos have harmful "foaming chemicals" and sulfates. The effect is - these chemicals strip hair of natural oils and the scalp compensates and over-produces more oils, which causes you to wash your hair more (and use more shampoo). I got over missing my high foaming shampoos knowing that my kids and family are not being coated with harmful stuff at bath time. It foams enough, and does a good job cleaning the hair. It has a nice smell. I will say that if you want more foam, the "Hair and Body Wash" foams up much more and does a great job cleaning both body and hair - it really does. In fact, I don't buy the shampoo anymore and just use the body wash for our hair.

Yes, it is. It's really good at hydrating and not drying out. We love it!
