なかなかバランスのいいヘッドホン DTMのミキシング時に使用してます 普段はATH-AD900を使用してますがモニタースピーカーとの音質の差が大きいが このヘッドホンはモニタースピーカに近い感覚でミキシングできます。

【追記：25.03.26】 装着時、口や首を動かすとヘッドホンのきしむ音が気になります。 特に顎関節の動きがもたらすギシッ、あるいはミシッという音が非常に耳障りです。 MDR-7506ではこのような音はありません。 エージングでかなりこなれてきた感があるだけに残念です。 DTMなどでシビアに音チェックする場合などには注意する必要があると思います。 --------------------------------- 価格帯が同じなのでMDR-7506と比較します。 イヤホンでも感じたけれど、最初は聴こえ方にヤマハ独特のクセがある。 飛行機で気圧が変化するときのような耳の違和感と言えば少し伝わるだろうか。 なんとなく全体的に奥で鳴っているような、少しこもった感じとも言える。 ただそれはエージングと共に後退する。 エージングは他のヘッドホンより時間がかかったけれど、違和感が後退すれば良い感じで聴ける。 HPH-MT5の音場はハッキリ言うと狭いが、そのぶんダイナミックな印象。 音質は下から上までバランスよく聴こえるが、高域がシャープすぎて耳に刺さってくる感じもあるので、人によっては苦手に思うかもしれない。 このシャープさもエージングで徐々に改善されてきている。 聴き比べると、MDR-7506の方が繊細な鳴らし方に感じるし音もつかみやすいので、よりモニター向きかなと思う。 HPH-MT5は音の線というか輪郭が太い感じで、迫力がありリスニングでもけっこう満足できる感じ。 またイヤーカップはすっぽり耳を覆い、側圧もけっこうあるので没入感はあると思う。 強めの側圧が苦手な方はソニーが良いかも知れない。 HPH-MT5とMDR-7506は方向性は同じように思うが、それぞれの良さがあるので甲乙つけがたい。 両方とも試聴して決めるのが良いけれど、予算が許せばどちらも購入して楽しむという選択が一番だと思う。 装着感など音質以外までトータルで考えて、個人的に常用しているのはHPH-MT5になっている。
