Pluged it in to my headphones and bam no more low volume. You might need a 1/4 in adaptor as this is a 1/8 plug.

I bought this mainly to see if it would help alleviate the issues I was having with the Steam Deck OLED's 3.5mm headphone jack. With sensitive in-ear monitors, there's a very audible noisefloor. This gets rid of that entirely. It doesn't seem to play suuuper nice with the Deck sometimes, but that isn't really a fault of the product. The only reason I docked a star is that I wish there was a 30Ohm version; the 80Ohm takes quite a bit of volume away, which is fine for me, but I think a 30Ohm would be better overall.

Bought this gem to see if I could eek out more bass from a set of dual DD IEMs. Wasn't expecting much, but the KZ Castor Pros became certified cannons. Pre-adapter, I'd PEQ a +10db shelf at 30Hz with a wide Q, and it still couldn't hang with my basshead sets in the sub bass region. It's a different kind of bass that's hard to explain since I'm not an analytical listener, but if you're into EDM or hip hop, you'll likely enjoy it. The mid bass absolutely slams me into headache territory now. Bottom line, pleasant surprise, and pretty weird effect--especially since it achieves the boost without actually boosting the bass. If you try out the adapter with your dual DDs, make sure you have a powerful source.

I got this for my 5th gen iPod classic (video). The iPod was making an annoying static sound with headphones unless I used very expensive headphones. Sometimes I just wanna use my IEMs and this allows me to do that without that aggravating sound. There's still *some* static, but it's very low and is only noticeable during quiet parts. Super fast and cheap fix!

Just didn’t work well

Bought these to see if it got rid of the white noise coming from my Fosi K5 Pro, and needless top say yes it did. 80-ohm seemed to work just fine for my 32-ohm FiiO JT1s, but for lower impedance headphones you might want to go lower like 75, 50, or 32-ohm.

This item did what I hoped for a few weeks, but then suddenly the left audio channel stopped working. The adapter is completely worthless now! Both ears of the headphones (FIIO FH3s) sound balanced without the adapter, so I know it is not their issue. I only used the adapter indoors without any strong temperature swings or significant shocks applied. Do not buy this product if you want a lasting solution...
