But she also prescribed the ear drops. The cleaner helps your dogs ear clean. But especially the residue has an odor, I would recommend to take her to the vet to look at it. Your dog might need more than just cleaning the ear. Please...if you can. **Q: has anyone used this on their RES for mild shell rot?** A: No-I have only used this for cleaning cat and dogs ears. Great for that-don't know about "mild shell rot" **Q: what are the ingredients?** A: The ingredients aren't listed on the bottle, but this was prescribed by my dog's vet in 2006 to keep his ears from getting infected. He's has always been prone to wetness coming from his ears, so the vet told me to use this to keep them clean and dry. My dog has never developed an ear infection, so I assume this product works. He's 14 years old now. **Q: I have read this can be used on dog skin problems?** A: I have been using this to clean my dog and cat ears.
