Pentair 170022 Tank Lid Assembly Replacement FNS Plus FNSP60 Pool and Spa D.E. Filter

My old filter lid developed a crack on the side and was leaking. I had replaced the bottom part of the unit years ago. Our pool is about 18 years old so I guess this lid was that age since it was the original. Since the bottom was newer I didn't want to have to spend all that money on a whole new filter. Plus it seems that filter technology is not really that much different than it's been for the last 20 years. So, I ordered this lid. I went ahead and replaced the old one. I did a filter clean while I had it opened. Getting that belt that holds the lid on is always a pain but no worse with this lid than the old one. Once everything was secured, I was able to fire it up and it has been working flawlessly for weeks.

Upper unit cracked, everything else on the DE filter was fine. Much more cost effective to have to only replace the upper unit. Fit with no problems and appears to be of good quality.

The pressure overloaded and blew up my last one.. needed a replacement quick. Took a few days but this came in perfect condition and was the most affordable compared to any one else.
