UPDATE: I've bought this product multiple times as it works well. I've been in a position where these freezer packs were just wrapped in towels and placed in carry on luggage (not an insulated case). The portable oxygen concentrator for my travel companion overheated mid flight. These packs were still frozen and we managed to get the device cooled down within 5-10 mins. I put one back into the back of the concentrator bag (and it fit snuggly being so thin). It completely thawed out by the time we touched down, which is so impressive because the machine was quite warm for the rest of the flight. Still 5/5 stars, it's keeps frozen extra long! --------------- 5/5 stars: It works exactly as designed, and it's very thin. I worry when it's thawed it may be easier to dent the product (something to keep in mind if there is a chance it will be tossed around when thawed). It seems to stay cold extra long because of the metal casing. Only negative is it is heavy. It being so thin means we can put more things in our cooler. I've already bought this product multiple times because I like it so much.

Love these! They’re slim and stay cold. Was sick of leaky plastic ice packs with questionable gel goo in the center. These work great. It has been super hot here the past few weeks. We always take these with us for our cooler bags when we grocery shop. Would love it if this company made bigger ones too.

I am very pleased with this purchase. These are great alternatives to those plastic ice packs that take up so much more space. My daughter likes to take a fruit shake as a mid morning snack for school and these are super helpful to keep it cold for her to enjoy. These look great, freeze faster than the plastic ones and it is a nice eco friendly option. Definitely recommend this product !

Amazing product. Kept my medication refrigerated for over 20hs

Aside from the obvious benefit of being stainless steel and not leeching toxins into food, these get super cold. I can easily handle my plastic freezer bricks but you can't hold on to these for more than a minute without some kind of protection. They work best in direct contact with food and stainless steel food holders as metal is superior to plastic for heat transfer. But as others have noted, this rapid ability to transfer heat also means they lose their effectivness rather quickly. I placed two of these in a nylon lunch box with a thermal interior. Inside was an ECOZI stainless bento box with a digital thermometer inside. The starting temperature was 77º. Within 30 minutes the stainless bento box (which started at room temperature) was cooled down to 37º. But that 40º cooling difference came at a high price for the duration. An hour later the internal temperature was up to 42º and 2 hours later at 44º. This is still acceptable for a lot of foods but over the safe limit (40º) for meats and other highly perishable items. So, I would put the whole kit in the freezer and get the interior and bento box down to freezing. I'd probably freeze any meats and perishable items if they were going to have to sit for 2+ hours before eating. The ECOZI demo video also shows putting the stainless ice pack directly inside the bento box (it only fits the larger bento box) and that might be a good practice for direct contact with a sandwich with mayo and meats. Certainly for keeping drinks and fruit cold, there's no risk of bacteria but if you're carrying perishables do your own tests with a digital thermometer to see how long the kit keeps foods at 40º or less.

I have never used stainless steel ice packs but these are definitely worth it! These packs keep your food cold for a lot longer than the plastic ice packs would. They freeze really quickly and are small enough to fit into small lunchboxes as well. And eco friendly!

I wanted to love these Ecozoi stainless steel freezer coolers, I really did. We use a ton of freezer coolers in our house between the kids and adults lunches, so I was hopeful that these would work well. But there just ok in my opinion. These definitely do not stay as cold for as long as the plastic gel filled ones do. These thaw much, much faster. They do work well for shorter jobs though. Like my son has lunch 3 hours after he goes to school, I would trust this for that. But not much longer. There also quite heavy and they get frozen ice on the outside of them like crazy. So while I love the idea, I think that these fell a bit short.

I love these stainless steel ice packs. They keep cold for several hours and keep my food cold. I love how thin they are so that they don’t take up too much space in my lunch box. Great eco friendly option.

Great alternative to plastic ice packs and super thin. These keep my sons lunches nice and cold from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and are fully thawed by the time that he gets home. They freeze way faster than the thick plastic ones and leave plenty of space in the lunch kit.
