There is no way to control the bass of our Harman Kardon Soundsticks 4. You may try to use a third-party EQ app to control the treble and bass. **Q: This speaker constantly turns off when connected to my computer and not generating sound. Is there a way to keep it on or extend the sleep timer?** A: Thanks for your question. The standby feature of the SoundSticks 4 can't be disabled. This is mandatory within EuP regulations to reduce power consumption. The unit will go into standby when there is no audio or very low audio after about 10 minutes. If you wake the computer up, it doesn't wake the SoundSticks 4 unless there is music or audio playing from the soundcard. In summary, the SoundSticks 4 should come out of standby if there is an audio signal sent to it. Just waking up the computer does not send an audio signal. In some instances, there are system sounds, but there is a delay so the soundcard may not catch that sound. When the computer is out of standby, please play audio (moderate volume), the SoundSticks 4 should come out of standby. **Q: Can anyone please reply if there is an equalizer app for this system and where do I find it?
