This is my first cordless circular saw got tired of running for a extension cord or them not being long enough, the saw it's self nice sleak design the rafter hook works great , saw cuts nice with a 5ah battery on I put a 6ah flex volt battery on it and that improved its performance even more the blade that came with it did as it should did nice clean easy cuts every time ,overall solid saw do recommend

Very happy with it. Weirdly quiet, easy to operate (but not unsafe), lightweight, good battery life. Used much more frequently than I would have expected around the house the last 1-1/2 years. Dewalt brand black + yellow makes you feel like a real man/woman. Despite some abuse the original blade remains. Price fluctuates so value will depend on the price of other options in the Li-ion space but no complaints here.

Overall very similar to the Makita 6-1/2" saw, but slightly heavier. This however is not a serious drawback. The presence of a rafter hook and the light that illuminates the cut line are highlights vs other 6-1/2" saws in the same price range. I bought this under the "other buying options" tab and it was listed as used-like new, with the description that the package had obviously been opened but was otherwise like new. It was exactly as described. The saw had clearly never been used or even assembled (blade still separate in its own packaging). I am very pleased.

As a professional finish carpenter this saw does a very good job. I will not be throwing away my corded 6 1/2 inch circular saw yet. However, it is a very good alternative for convenience as well as the job sites where I don’t have any electricity. It does spin approximately four or 500 RPMs slower than a corded circular saw, but it is definitely faster than the old DeWalt 20 V circular saw. It does cut smoothly and I definitely like the fact that the armature/motor housing is about 2 inches shorter than it used to be.

I work mostly in a workshop setting and didn't think I had much use for a circular saw. Changed my mind having spent a few days with this one offsite. Perfect size; ergonomics. Powerful enough to handle 2x4s comfortably. Light enough to use single-handed (which I suppose you shouldn't really do). Blade stops instantly on release of trigger. No waiting for blade to spin down after every cut. Dead-straight cuts. You need a spare battery in the charger if you're going to be working all day but the 5ah battery seemed to last quite a while even with heavy usage. With a 60-tooth blade, I can see this being my go-to saw from now on for plywood instead of trying to wrestle with big panels on my table saw.
