Hardly any water comes out and the pad is not very wet. This is a brand new vacuum.** A: You might need to call Ecovacs they would send you different mopping pads! You could test the water absorption of the current pad and see why there is almost literally less less water absorbed through the current pad. Some bought another brand mopping pad like Dreametech and put it on and works!! Search on YouTube about this problem some could tell exact same issue like yours! Good luck! **Q: How high of carpet will it work on?** A: My carpet is about 3/4” and it works fine on it, not sure how high it will go but seems to work good. **Q: Once the mapping is done, can you set it in the middle of an area and to start cleaning as opposed to starting from the charging dock** A: Yes, kind of. You can assign what rooms you want it to clean in order, but if you want it start in the β€œmiddle” of a room and clean outward, no it can’t do that. Once mapped you can have it clean a assigned room or several rooms instead of the entire mapped area. You can also narrow the cleaning down in a room to just clean a rug or small patch, but no you can’t have it start in the middle of a room. I will tell you I have been very impressed with the Deebot.
