About the product. It does what it is supposed to do...when it works (more below). But I want to start out by saying that you should buy this without fear. The customer service experience with this seller is 5 stars.When I first purchased the product, it worked well for about 8 months. I then started having issues with the extended monitors. I have some different color screens...sometimes the monitors would go flash...go off. I went through an extensive troubleshooting process to ensure that I ruled out any other possible cause. I ultimately confirmed that it was the adapter. So I contacted the company via Amazon. They immediately advised me that they would be sending a replacement at no charge, no questions asked. The new one arrived in a few days and it's been working well. All the problems that I was experiencing are gone. Time will tell how this new one turns out. But at the end of the day, I would buy more products from this seller without reservation. Nobody is perfect. It's how you handle the situation that matters. Their customer service is impressive. Buy without hesitation.

Can't say anything negative about this adapter. I followed the instructions and installed the driver first, then plugged in and then my two monitors. Everything has been working great since then. No lag, no loss of resolution, and no hiccups when unplugging it to use the laptop on its own. I have a Samsung Ultra7, which I run as my desktop all day long, which means the card has to work for extended periods of time. It gets warm, but not hot. I'm running it at 1080 and haven't had any issues with video, but I couldn't say how it might handle 4K. By the way, I'm using monitors of different brands and the card is plugged into a USB-3 hub that is also running a card reader and a CD drive. Bottom line, this is a very inexpensive and reliable way to extend your desktop on a laptop that has USB-3 capabilities.

Creates an inconsistent connection that causes the monitors to freeze abs then cut off briefly. Annoying, but I got used to it.Then, without any changes in the setup, the freezing got worse abs now it is unusable as the monitors will only stay on for 3-5 minutes at a time.I wish I’d purchased from another company.

Easy to install. It get really hot though but it works well.

Worked great for a bit but after basic use, it went bad and keeps on disconnecting my monitors. Switched out the cables thinking that maybe one of the cables was going bad but it still kept disconnecting the monitors. Bought another one that is much cheaper and it is working great. Emailed their customer service as well and got no response.

Bought this adapter as we needed a solution for running multiple displays via Pro Presenter for our church. This let us easily set it up and output different content for the audience and folks on stage. Been using this for a while now with no issues. Using this connected to M1 Mac Mini in case that helps someone. We had no solution and had to borrow a much more expensive adapter from another leading brand on short notice before I replaced it with this one, and so far this is working great for a fraction of the cost.

My first attempt at hooking up the device was a failure. Why? I didn’t do something as simple as lifting up the tray in the product package. Duh (forehead slap). Yes, the manufacturer included directions to download a driver and a product booklet. My bad. My second mistake, I thought the product wasn’t working because the page I had open wouldn’t drag to my other monitor. After some troubleshooting, I realized that I needed to adjust my mouse speed. Second forehead slap. Once I corrected my own errors, the device worked well. I needed two independent monitor displays, and I was able to achieve this goal with this product. It seems like most of the adapters I found only mirrored the monitor display.

I wish this had a title like for 4K screens only. This didn't work for me, which doesn't mean it won't work for you. It may not even work on those from a laptop. Research is needed before buying any of these types of devices.
