For a while, my pedal sustained when NOT depressed, sort of a reverse functionality, which I actually appreciated...but can't replicate. Anyone else?

According to the FAQ on the manufacturer's web site (for the SP-Double and SP-Triple), ¨Are the pedals switchable? The pedals will not have a switch to change polarity and will operate as normally open. This means that the pedal will send a value of 0 when up and a value of 127 when pressed down all the way. Different manufacturers may program their keyboards to respond to the opposite (127 when up, 0 when down) and to combat this some pedals may come with a switch to change the polarity of the pedal to match that of the keyboard. Does this pedal have a gradient on the sensitivity for the sustain, OR is it an on/off sustain switch?

It appears this is a simple on/off switch pedal. For continuous or gradient performance the phrases to look for in sustain pedal description are "half-damper" or "half-pedaling." If there is no indication by the manufacturer of one of those descriptions, the pedal is just an on/off switch. If your digital piano or electronic keyboard supports half-damper, then a half-damper pedal varies the nature of the sustain effect based on how far down you depress the pedal. The only half-damper pedals I have found so are the Yamaha FC3A, Roland DP-10, and Korg DS1H. The half-damper effect emulates the action on an acoustic piano of lifting the felt damping pads only part way off of the strings.

Superb quality, metal body with great grip

Good and sturdy pedal, metal body not plastic, superb grip both bottom and top. Go for this instead of the Yamaha model anyday.

Best sustain pedal !

I've been using it for almost 4 years and have not faced any major issues. The build quality is solid and it has a rubberized bottom to prevent slipping while using. The silver colour on the pedal is peeling of after years of usage.

Expensive. It does it's job.

The pedal is comfortable and is quite springy. There's a toggle to switch if the notes are sustained without pressing down in the pedal. It's expensive and it's very durable. Build quality is very good
