Took a while to arrive, haven’t used yet, but will be using for an RTA I have always wanted to use mesh on.

Just what was needed to repair the limescale filter in my kettle. Just remove all the bits of plastic mesh from the original filter, cut the wire mesh to shape with a pair of scissors and then use a soldering iron to stick the wire mesh to the frame. Works a treat - been in use for a couple of weeks now and kettle is used three to four times each day. So much cheaper than buying a new filter (have you seen the prices for some of these kettle filters?) 15cm x 15cm of mesh should be enough to repair about 15 to 20 kettle filters. As it is stainless steel maybe it will not need repairing again - time will tell.
