A Total Game Changer, Excellent Vacuum
I absolutely love this robot vacuum. As someone who likes a clean home but doesn't want to spend all day cleaning, this robot vacuum has been such a blessing to me. The suction power is incredible. It picked up dust, crumbs, and pet hair effortlessly, even along baseboards, and in corners where dirty usually collects. I have a mis of hardwood and rugs, and it knows exactly what to do when moves between them. Honestly, my floors look cleaner than they ever did with my old vacuum. One thing I like the most is the mopping feature, it really impressed me the most. It doesn't just lightly wipe the floor, it actually scrubs. The mop reaches the edges, and the fact that it cleans and dries itself is amazing. And I don't have to deal with dirty and smelly mop pads anymore, which makes me really happy, and it really worth it. If you have long hairs dropping to the floor, or you have pets at home, this vacuum is a lifesaver. The detangling brush system really works, I am no longer pulling hair out of the roller every week. It also runs quietly enough that I can have it cleaning while I am relaxing at work. I really want to say that this is a excellent robot vacuum, I just let it do its thing, and my home stays clean with almost no effort on my part. Love it.

Best vacuum I’ve owned—the corner cleaning is legit
I upgraded to the X50 Ultra mainly for the suction power and the extendable mop, and it hasn’t disappointed. It’s the first robot I’ve seen that actually reaches the edges of my cabinets and deep into corners. Pros: • Insane Suction: Picks up pet hair and heavy dirt from carpets effortlessly. • Low Maintenance: The self-cleaning base is amazing—it washes and dries the mops so I don’t have to. • Smart Navigation: It maneuvers around furniture and random objects on the floor without getting stuck. It saves me so much time every week. If you're looking for a truly "set it and forget it" vacuum, this is definitely worth the price!

Impressive upgrade to Roborock (and certainly from iRobot).
BACKGROUND We've had robo-vacuums for years, starting with the Roomba/iRobot, then more recently Roborock, and finally this one. So we've seen the progression in the industry, and have comparison points between brands. With an aging Roomba crapping out on one of our floors, research led me to take a chance on DREAME (found through vacuumwars). So far, pretty glad we did! Given that robo-vacuums aren't kind of a multi-faceted topic, I'll break it down below: APP Not the best, not the worst. I think Roborock's app (although far from perfect) is actually a bit more intuitive. That said, this one has an absolute TON of feature controls, which is kind of awesome. FORM FACTOR/SIZE The unit itself is fine, the base is... well, it feels huge. I don't think there's much they can do about it, because it has a good sized clean and dirty water tank, room for detergent, and the dust bag itself. No wasted space, but it was way more imposing than we expected. It's about the size of a small kitchen trash can, so prepare yourself. NOISE Insanely quiet. This is rated at significantly higher suction than even our Roborocks, but generates like 1/4 the noise of others. It's whisper quiet. Other vacuums make a ton of noise even just traversing the room (e.g. when mapping), as if it can't move without running the vacuum. This one does not, meaning it can map the room in perfect silence. Mopping is similarly silent. VACUUM As mentioned, super quiet, but *seems* to be doing its job very well. We haven't noticed any issues yet, and our floors (hardwood and tile) are flawlessly clean. MOPPING We've had multi-function bots before (Roborock), but these basically just had a tiny reservoir of water on the unit itself, which would wet the mop pad, and just drag that across the floor. Maybe better than nothing, but the hassle of refilling the tiny chamber made it basically just not ever worth the effort. This one is different. It literally is like a full service robot - dropping its mop pads when not needed, cleaning them after use, refilling itself, empying dirty water, etc. Plus the mop pads rotate and extend out to baseboards/corners as needed. Super cool to see the advances they've made in a few short years! LONGEVITY No idea here, as it's new to our household, but it came loaded with replacements for everything... brushes, bags, mop pads, etc. Certainly more than any previous vacuum we've gotten. Hope it lives long enough to need those! OVERALL Super impressed so far, form factor aside (and I think that's just a requirement given its features/function). Would recommend.

The suction power is very strong, and it handles both vacuuming and mopping exceptionally well.
I’m extremely impressed with the Dreame X50 Ultra. The suction power is very strong, and it handles both vacuuming and mopping exceptionally well. The auto-empty and self-cleaning mop feature save so much time and effort. Navigation is smart and precise — it avoids obstacles easily and cleans right up to the corners. The detangling brush is a big plus, especially for homes with hair. The app setup was smooth, and everything feels premium and well-designed.

After using the DREAME X50 Ultra Complete Robot Vacuum and Mop daily for a few weeks, I can honestly say it’s one of the most convenient cleaning devices I’ve owned. It actually does what it claims and has noticeably reduced the time I spend cleaning. Setup was quick through the Dreame app, and the robot mapped my home on its first run without any issues. One thing to note is that you need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for setup. If your router combines 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, you may need to separate them temporarily. Once connected, the app is stable and gives you a lot of control over how and when it cleans. The unit feels premium and well built. The dock is larger than basic robot vacuums, but that’s expected since it auto-empties dust and self-cleans the mop. The robot can lower itself to about 3.5 inches, so it fits under couches and beds that other robots usually miss. The mapping and navigation are excellent. It creates a detailed map quickly, lets you label rooms, set no-go zones, and customize cleaning by area. It moves efficiently and rarely repeats spaces. The AI camera helps it recognize obstacles like shoes and cables. Occasionally the camera loses connection, but even then it continues cleaning properly using its other sensors. One feature I really appreciate is how well it handles thresholds and transitions. It can climb over door tracks and small barriers without getting stuck, which makes a big difference in homes with multiple floor transitions or rugs. The suction power is genuinely strong. It easily picks up dust, crumbs, pet hair, litter, and dirt tracked in from outside. You can see the difference after each run. Despite the power, it’s quieter than I expected. If you deal with long hair or pets, the DuoBrush system is a big plus. Hair doesn’t wrap tightly around the brush like on traditional rollers, which makes maintenance much easier. Edge cleaning is better than most robot vacuums I’ve tried. The side brush extends outward to reach baseboards, and the mop reaches closer to corners, so you don’t get those dusty lines along edges. The mopping system is where this unit really stands out. The mops automatically lift when carpets are detected, so rugs stay dry. The dock washes and dries the mop pads, refills water, and collects dirty water automatically. The clean and dirty tanks are easy to remove and refill. For daily maintenance cleaning, it does a great job removing footprints, light dirt, and dust film from hard floors. The app offers plenty of customization, including room-specific cleaning, suction levels, water flow, schedules, and carpet settings. You can monitor cleaning in real time and create routines that fit your home. The auto-empty dock significantly reduces maintenance. It empties debris into bags, cleans the mops, refills water, and helps prevent odors. It really makes the whole system feel hands-off. Battery life has been excellent so far. It can clean large areas on one charge and will return to recharge and resume if needed. There are a few minor drawbacks. It requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, the camera can occasionally lose connection, and the dock takes up more space than basic models. The price is also on the higher side. That said, if it proves to be durable and long-lasting, I think it will absolutely be worth the investment. Overall, I’m very happy with it. It’s powerful, smart, and extremely convenient, and it has made keeping the floors clean much easier. If you want a premium robot vacuum that truly automates cleaning, this is a strong option.

For years i kept telling myself i did not need a robot and i would not get one. Now, i say to myself, why didnt i get one sooner, especially one that mops! Vacuuming is a chore, a necessary one that i had no issue doing. But mopping?? Who on earth likes to mop? Out of all the house works, flooring mopping and shower tile scrubbing are the two most dreaded houseworks. Needless to say, the mopping function of this Dreame robot is what excites me the most! Let’s talk from the beginning… Set up was a lot less intimidating than i thought, just download the app and make sure you are connecting to the 2.4Ghz WiFi, and allocate at least an hour or two, because once you start the process, you are fascinated to play with the app and see what the robot can do. I have been using the robot for two weeks now, and I can say it gets better everyday. I watched Robbie (yes i gave the robot a name lol) and I followed it around during the first few rounds. Initial mapping was rudimentary, it appeared random, roaming the house kind of all over the place. There were instances of mindless spinning at the same spot where Robbie was not vacuuming nor mopping, it was just endlessly spinning as if it was lost and confused. Such confused moments often lasted up to 3 minutes and i was convinced Robbie was a lemon. However, Robbie never gives up… the more Robbie worked, the better it became, and I could see mapping was getting more fine tuned and patterns were emerging. Robbie is surprisingly quiet. The only time i would consider it loud is when Robbie returns to its station to empty the trash, or rinse the mop pads. During vacuuming sessions i am able to hear the TV while it is roaming around my vicinity. It is even more quiet during mopping that there were times i totally forgot Robbie was on duty and I went to look for it. Mopping performance is quite impressive, and it surprisingly uses very little water. Once you set up the clean water tank, Robbie handles its own water refills, washes the mop pads, and empties dirty water to another tank. I have a furbaby who uses a pee tray at home, the occasional pee droplets on the floor around the pee tray gets cleaned up very well. BUT many times the robot fails to recognize the pee tray as an obstacle and activates its legs and climbs on top of it to mop/vacuum. Luckily no poop was on the tray, which makes me curious, can Robbie really recognize poop? What if it doesn’t? I am not going to test that by purposely leaving out a poop, I certainly don’t want anything funky to be dragged around the entire house!! So for peace of mind, i remove the pee tray when Robbie is in the area. My dog also likes to constantly stand in front of the vacuum and stares at it with curiosity. Robbie never once bumped into my baby. It also never hit into furniture legs, in fact it stays too far away that it leaves a ring of dust around table/chair legs. Obstacle avoidance is very good. However, just like everything else, life is not all rosy with Robbie. While it vacuums generally well, I feel that it is not very good at picking up dusts at corners, although it has a side brush extension that is supposed to do this very function. I have many houseplants throughout the house and often there are dried up leaves sitting in corners, Robbie couldn’t get them after multiple rounds so I ended up picking up the leaves by hand. And since I have a dog, I had set up a baby gate to block the entrance to the mud room. Robbie has difficulty seeing the baby gate probably due to the pickets, at times when it sees the pickets, it stops and back up; then it sees open space (between pickets) so it wants to move forward and bangs into the gate. So i set up no go zone. I also noticed Robbie is unable to clean underneath the kitchen cabinet toe kick, which is approx H3.5”. Robbie stops once it reaches the edge of the cabinet, it does not extend its little arm, it just turns around and move on. The maintenance of the mop tray is annoying, I literally need to go on my hands and knees, lean into the bottom of the station and hand wipe that area. I wish the entire tray can be removed so that the whole thing can be rinsed at the sink. I have seen videos of other robots with such feature, hopefully future generations of Dreame will have that. I have not yet tried the multi floor management function yet, because I have a partial renovation going on so there are boxes in some areas, too many obstacles for Robbie. I am curious to see how that works because obviously i will not be moving the station/dock to another floor. I guess Robbie will periodically summon me to bring him back to the station to empty the trash and wash the mop pads. That will be interesting to see. In terms of battery, it lasts about 3 hours before it roams back to the station for recharge. I always have Robbie vacuum first and mop after (dinning room, kitchen, family room, front hallway) and it always require a recharge (battery top up) in order to complete the tasks. Just like all other battery powered products, i suppose battery run time will decrease overtime, hopefully the battery is replaceable when time comes. The app is full of features, it is rather intuitive, kind of like iPhone, just play around and you kind of get the idea, but at the same time i wished there is a manual of some sort to help understand the functions and differences in commands (ie: intensive cleaning vs deep cleaning). Many times i had to Google to see explanations from other user forums. Among the many features, you can schedule auto clean up. Convenient as it may be, I won’t be using that because it can trigger the alarm if no one is home (like vacations). I don’t want cops breaking down my front door for no reason. Also, I am afraid that the occasional power outage may somehow cause a reset and Robbie may go wild and rogue (yeah I watch too many movies). For those who wants to use the schedule function, my advise is to unplug this thing when you go away for holiday. I have not had the need to remove anything for maintenance (the double brush or the little arm) so I cannot comment on how easy/difficult it will be. I have only removed the trash bag from the station to see how it works and that part is very simple. So far my experience has been very positive. Once you get through the initial set up, the rest is pretty much hands free, and all you need is just basic maintenance, and a basic common sense of not leaving certain things on the floor (phone cables, socks) to avoid potential entanglement. Although there are areas that require manual cleaning due to the limitations of the robot, the vacuuming and mopping results are consistently good. I am very impressed by the robot’s performance. Should you decide on this little guy, I am sure you will be as happy as I am.

Dreame’s customer support was exceptional, professional, responsive, and seamless from start to finish. My interaction wasn’t due to any fault with the product, but rather general support, and it was handled flawlessly. Before purchasing the Dreame X50 Ultra, I did extensive research, and I’m extremely glad I chose it. It met every item on my checklist and continues to impress. The navigation is best-in-class, the cleaning performance is outstanding, and the robot feels genuinely intelligent in how it operates. For anyone researching robot vacuums, I’d suggest looking beyond popular YouTube reviews. Many so-called “unbiased” videos are paid promotions, even when stated otherwise. A better approach is to shortlist a few top brands, compare features carefully, then rely on real customer reviews. That process led me to the X50 Ultra—and it’s a decision I’m very happy with.

I replaced my roomba s9+ with the Dreamex50 and couldn’t be happier. It does an incredible job both vacuuming and mopping. Watching it map out the house was incredible and it does a great job of not touching furniture and walls. My only suggestion would be to spend the time to properly go through all the settings and make adjustments as you use it. Once you have it set up the way you want it’s pretty much set and forget. Just need to refill the water every few days and dump the dirty water daily.
