天然土の単一顔料(PBr7)ではなく、水和酸化鉄系(PY42/PBk11)の組成で調合されているためなのかなんなのか、U-35などの40mlの同じ「ローアンバー」の、抵抗感のある発色や混色法を想定して使用する事はできない発色の絵の具だと言えます。「絵画制作」で使うのには、この絵の具のまま、あるいはジェッソなどをを適宜混色して地塗りとして使う以外にはおすすめできません。混色など、天然土の単一顔料(PBr7)による、これより高価な「ローアンバー」を使う場合とは違う結果となります。このターレンスのローアンバーは「半不透明色」だから…… 値段と容量からして、イベントなどで、ブラックを使わずに暗い色を大きな面積で塗りたい場合に適していると言えるかもしれません。青系の透明色と混ぜるとほぼブラックになります。
