This review is specifically for the 5N /dark brown color Scent - same scent as other xmondo products. To me it is very jasmine perfume. I personally don’t care for the scent but some people love it. I can deal with it but could be a negative if you are sensitive to fragrance. Or it could be a huge plus if you love the scent Packaging - solid quality feel packaging. Nice wide opening allows you to easily access the product whether using a brush or hands. No need for color bowls. Value - I’d say this heavily depends on your hair. Short hair will probably get 3-5 uses. I have shoulder length hair and looks like I’ll get 2-3 uses. Longer hair may get one use or need 2 for really long hair. Feel - thick consistency. Nice that it’s not runny. You have good control over it. Like a thick conditioning mask Caution this WILL stain on contact. Make sure you are careful to cover the area you are working in and wear gloves. I have a dark tile shower but I would not be surprised if this would stain a white tub. I would def say have the bleach ready to go to clean up immediately. Color - obviously this will vary by person but here’s my experience. I have naturally dark hair (level 4). I also have some grey and bleached highlights. I have been trying to transition to a lower maintenance hair routine in the last 2 years and mainly using semi permanent color (professionally done). I’m not a stranger to dark hair. I’ve had level 3 color in the past (which for most people is essentially black). I am not a hairdresser but imo this is not a level 5 color as the name would imply. To me, getting my hair colored for 20 years on my base, this is a 3/4. It is very very dark, almost black. I’d strongly suggest doing a test strand if going too dark is a concern for you. There are a lot of green undertones so you will not have any warmth. Would I recommend? No. Do the test strand. For myself, I feel like I need something softer at this point. This color feels a bit harsh on me but it may be exactly what you’re looking for. Update - I tried the 5G color. Mistake! This has such heavy red tones that I look like red was my intended color. Extremely disappointed and will not be trying any more of these colors. I actually went to sally beauty to see if they had anything to help the heavy red brassy tones. Thankfully it’s semi permanent so I’ll be trying clarifying shampoo and blue shampoo to hopefully quickly reduce the unwanted color. Honestly the reaction when I told the lady I had used this said it all. Not recommended

It smells great and made my hair shiny but no grey coverage at all. Within 1 wash you could see the Grey's.

I wanted to love this product. I have wanted to try it for so long being a fan of the creator. I read that it said a single container could be about 2-3 applications. I assumed that meant for the average persons length and thickness of hair. I have above average length and thick hair! I figured it would be at least "one" full application for me. I ran out before I finished the top of my head. I was irriateted but, my fault. The consistency made it very loose, meaning it flung onto walls, dripped down my hair, and was just a mess! I have never had a messier product. It smelled fine, it went on kinda rough, not like a creme; smooth and moisturizing, but I could not comb my hair after application. The rinsing was my final straw. My shower was stained, horribly!! It was everywhere!!! I spent a good 40 minutes scrubbing my bathtub and walls and floors. And unfortunately there are still to this day (Dec. when purchased in Oct.) walls and spots that are stained brown. Subsequent shampooings also made a big mess until it fully washed out. Which to its credit was weeks later. (with twice a week shampooing). The best part was the color was gorgeous, it made my hair feel soft and nice. I wish I could recreate this product to not be so messy, and with the cost, I cannot justify purchasing 2 containers to cover my hair, every month or so.

I have long hair. I am 5'10", and my hair falls below my waist. My hair is quite thick and medium to medium-dark brown with golden undertones. The longer it gets, the lighter it becomes. I am not a fan of warm tones, so I usually dye my hair using cool or ashy shades. I also have white hairs, especially around the edges of my face. When I apply color-depositing masks, I usually leave them on for about 45 minutes to an hour before rinsing. Around 2021, I stopped dyeing my hair with permanent dye, which I used mostly in blue-black or dark ash brown shades. As my hair grew out, there was a significant tone difference between my natural hair and the dyed sections. That is when I started using color-depositing creams. The one that worked best for me was Overtone. It deeply conditioned my hair and was perfect for maintaining a smoother transition between my different hair tones. Once all the permanently dyed hair was gone, I began experimenting with different color-depositing creams. When it comes to the most long-lasting and pigmented option, Lime Crime Unicorn Hair has performed the best. The first shade I used was Chocolate Cherry, and it was honestly bad ass. It was a neutral-cool dark fuchsia, and it lasted quite a while. This dye even covered my white hairs; they turned hot pink, which actually made the look even better. It lasted about a month and a half before my natural tone started coming through. The downside is that it was not very nourishing. It did not damage my hair, but it also did not improve it. After the first application, it felt as if I had washed my hair without applying conditioner. My hair felt dry. Overtone, on the other hand, is very nourishing. It leaves my hair extremely soft and well-conditioned. Brushing my hair is very easy; the brush just glides through without any resistance. It truly works as a deep conditioning mask. The color applies well, but it does not last as long as Lime Crime. In fact, it does not stay highly pigmented for very long. It penetrates the hair fairly well and does tint my white hairs, but the color does not last as long on them. Now we have XMONDO, which falls somewhere between Overtone and Lime Crime. It does not make my hair as dry as Lime Crime, but I also do not find it nourishing. It does not condition my hair; it mainly just maintains it. After rinsing, my hair feels like I applied very little conditioner, and brushing was somewhat difficult. The pigment is definitely there, and I have mixed colors and experimented with them. It colors my white hairs quite well. I have used the Sapphire Blue shade, and my white hairs turned blue, which looked pretty cool. However, it does not last very long and washes out fairly quickly. I would say it lasts about the same amount of time as Overtone, but it does not wash out as quickly as Overtone does on my white hairs. Price-wise, I think it is worth it. Compared to Overtone, I would say you are paying for a similar product without the deep conditioning benefits. It is not as drying as Lime Crime, but it is also not as long-lasting. There is a balance there. XMONDO’s color-depositing masks are very fun to experiment with and blend extremely well. I did a two-tone look where the top part was blue and the bottom was hot pink, and it came out really well. It was very easy to use. The dark brown shade has a purple base, which cools my tone nicely. This is my go-to shade when I want something neutral without anything “funky,” per se. The only thing I really do not like about XMONDO’s color-depositing masks is the scent. They are way too strong. I have to apply them while wearing a mask to reduce the smell; otherwise, it gives me a migraine. It is a nice scent, just far too strong. That is the only downside. I give it 4 stars. I think it has potential. For me, if it were as conditioning as Overtone and lighter on the scent, it would be perfect. If it lasted longer, even better. That said, it is one of my favorite masks to use. I would rather use this than Overtone or Lime Crime.

I wasn’t sure how much this was going to show up on my hair because 1. Virgin hair, 2. Healthy hair, 3. I have medium to dark-ish brown hair. I’m leaving this review because I don’t think I’ve seen info on how darker brown hair takes to the superglosses. Though my hair is still brown, it definitely is more of a coppery, chestnut brown, and the natural highlights are noticeably coppery. Which I like! I was actually hoping that my hair wouldn’t go full copper, because I’m not ready for that. XD Things to know: 1. If you want a more dramatic change and you have medium to dark-ish brown hair, you’re going to have to bleach your hair first. But if you want to just make your natural color warmer/more coppery then this will work great. 2. Holy conditioning, Batman! This made my hair so soft and shiny!! Even if you don’t want to color your hair, get the clear supergloss because it is so conditioning!! 3. I didn’t use gloves so my hands are a bit orange, but a day and a half of normal hand washing has made them go back to normal. My tub is also slightly orange around the drain, but it’s also starting to fade.
