Alpine iLX-F511 Halo11 Multimedia Receiver with 11-inch Floating HD Touchscreen Display

Absolutely a great head unit!! I can’t say enough about how much I love this thing. I installed it in my 2016 Sierra, and with a little bit of work and modification was able to get it almost totally flush mounted. The screen is very clear and easy to navigate, has a dedicated subwoofer and speaker pre-outs, has a connection for your factory backup camera and the ability to add up to 4 cameras total. Anyone that has a 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierra knows that the factory radio leaves a lot to be desired and an 8” screen is the biggest available from GM. This solves that issue with the 11” screen that’s higher definition. It’s SiriusXM compatible, wireless and/or wired Apple CarPlay compatible, Android Auto compatible…basically everything you would want or need is there. I would recommend getting the Maestro RR to add to it in order to keep your oem functions though. Highly recommend this unit!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Almost returned this, thinking it was defective because it would turn on then turn off after a few seconds. Did some research and found out that you have to put a little plastic piece where the screen connects. It does state in the manual to install this but doesn't say it won't work without it. Turns out there is a small switch that the tabs of the plastic piece activate, enabling the unit to stay on. When it does come on.... Man the sound is amazing and had to turn down my amps. There are a lot of settings, and for the average consumer may be a little overwhelming , but if an audiophile geek you would appreciate it. BTW you will have to buy a separate unit to access Sirus XM. Which at the price should be included.

This head unit is a supreme upgrade to any system. I was able to remove my signal processor and the quality went way up. Full of features has everything a modern head unit should have and the screen is amazing.
