Works great and ez to install. My only issue was, I set the hour but if you don't switch over to minutes and at least set it to 00 it doesn't recognize the on off times. Could really cause some confusion.

Bought the Suraielec timer to replace a 20 year old Intermatic. The clock mechanism in the old Intermatic had finally broken down and wasn't turning the pump on/off. I found a good video on wiring the Suraielec on YouTube and between that and the printed instructions, I didn't have any trouble getting the connections right the first time. I was also pleased to see that the timer is close enough to the old Intermatic in size that I didn't have to relocate any of the wiring conduits leading to or from the timer (bonus !!). Programming was no problem. Just follow the instructions. The first thing I noticed is NO NOISE !! The old Intermatic was mounted on the side of the house and I had never realized how it created a buzzing noise in both rooms on that side of the house. The new Suraielect is totally silent, accurate to the minute week after week, and hasn't missed an on/off event since I installed it. Could not be happier with the results. Quiet, accurate, dependable, and a great value. What more can you ask?

for daylight saving time, you can only go forward, not back, which is required for the upcoming " fall back " hour. i.e. you can only go forward, like for spring. so you must set the time after the dst time and then going forward in spring is easy.

I purchased this timer to replace my analog pool pump timer (you know the brand). I had doubts about it being fairly lightweight but it is housed in a sturdy, well-made metal rain-tite enclosure and installed easily. The electrical connectors are robust enough for #8 wire and the knock-outs match standard spacing, although they were not punch pressed very well so I had to use a hole saw on one knockout. A minor inconvenience given the reasonable price and solid quality. It is not the same size as the older, traditional timer unit but worked for me. My only complaint is that the latch fit poorly (too tight, impossible to unlatch by hand) and had to be slightly filed to make opening the case practical. Some report the instructions aren't clear but I didn't find that to be the case. I don'ty know how long it will last but if I get two years out of it and need to replace it, I'll buy this same brand again.
