What can I say, it’s actual platinum!

I've had two of these in a chlorate cell for almost three weeks at 4.7V with barely any drop in efficiency. While it's certainly possible to destroy these through negligence, treated properly they seem a great bargain for the price. Keep your temperature high to avoid free chlorine, monitor pH closely and these should last you a while.

With so many fakes on the market, this anode was a genuine surprise! IT DOES NOT CORRODE; even in the most alkaline solutions (unlike 99% of the fakes out there). Real titanium with REAL platinum. Forget all those fake $20 "platinized anodes" that corrode instantly in solution and save your time, money and effort with this GENUINE platinum coated titanium mesh anode. Combining the outstanding corrosion resistance of real platinum with the ability to handle high power (7VDC @ 5Amps) and an extra long life you won't be disappointed with this piece of lab equipment. In fact, you might want two!

100% LEGIT PLATINUM I normally don't leave reviews, but if I can save even one person 1/100th of the grief and turmoil I've endured searching for platinum coated titanium electrodes. I know i was searching for review of this caliber myself and never found it. Actually platinum. I've been scammed 3 times on "platinized electrodes" on Amazon. If you're not aware, the easiest and fastest verification of platinum is via catalytic decomposition of H202 (Hydrogen Peroxide - see gif attached) Hydrogen Peroxide will decompose into H2 and 02 respectively in presence of a platinum catalyst - aka it'll bubble if electrodes are indeed platinum surfaced.
