So good. Strong savory licorice taste with a salty hit. They're a little firmer, less chewy (gummy) than "candy" licorice, which i like. Definitely have an authentic licorice flavor. Great as a treat or as a mouth refresher in place of a mint or chewing gum.

My introduction to salmiakki in general was Tyrkisk Peber, so that's my standard for all salty licorice. I've tried other salty licorice that, sure, is salty, but it doesn't have the same salmiak bite to it. These do! I wasn't sure how these would be, so four boxes seemed like a lot, but now I wonder why they sell these in such tiny boxes. It would make more sense to make one 120-g box; these salmiakki candies are delicious enough for it. :) It's definitely hard to eat just one. I'm sure I will get these again. I heartily recommend!

Arrived fast, and fresh. It's chewy and just addictive for those of us who Love it we Love it. If you're not a fan give it to someone who will enjoy it.

It's hard to describe the Finnish treat salmiakki. Salty licorice doesn't quite do it justice. It's flavorful black licorice with ammonium chloride (not table salt, which is sodium chloride). Yes, it's salty, but it's also pungent and savory and suggestive of tannins. Each little chew in these boxes of classic salmiakki diamonds is mouth-watering and satisfying at the same time. This may not be a candy for everyone's list, but it's deliciously complex. If you don't like black licorice, you probably won't like this. But you do like chewy black licorice and you also like other powerful flavors such as coffee, strong tea, red wine, dark rye bread, or blackstrap molasses, you might find your new favorite treat in these little boxes. Delivery is always fast and our shipments arrive nicely in-tact.

Very good! This is probably the Salmiakki you remember. What I got was also soft, not so much so that they are not the typical tablets but more like they are fresh from the factory. Really nice having these. Maybe worth mentioning that I'm American, so I'm in no way a Salmiakki expert, but I've loved Fazer Salmiakki ever since a friend shared them years ago and I have to say these are the freshest I've had. Also as a note to other Americans or first-time buyers- if you haven't had these, they are not really sweet, and they are not a snacking snack- more of a slow-savoring thing. They are a salty licorice with just a bit of sweetness combined with licorice/anis flavor and a punch of ammonia which can be an acquired taste, but if you love it you love it- just know they are not like black Red Vines, or something.
