Very tasty stuff! When hydrated exactly to the directions, it's not perfect. Having tried various tweaks (time, stirring/shaking) I have yet to find the perfect solution. No big deal. I've always had bits of un-mixed bits regardless of the shaking/stirring/waiting I do. It's a quite fine product (dusty stuff) that can at times get caught in the plastic seam, preventing complete closure of the pak. That is also not an uncommon issue with MH stuff. Sure, I would rather it cost what it did just a few years ago, but with the panic activity of EOTWAWKI folks of late, I suppose charging 'all the traffic will bear' is just part of the natural equation. It is no less expensive on the mfg site. Is it worth the cost? As food? No, it's not. As a convenience and a very good tasting bag to eat out of? Yes, it is! In the middle of the high-desert waiting for the stars to pop? It's better than that!

This was surprisingly delicious! Our whole scouting crew, of 9 people, enjoyed this. Luckily I didn't realize it was two portions per bag and bought a bag for everyone, because 7 people ate their whole bag. Small portion for two people. We carried this on an overnight backpacking campout.

I bought it for emergency use in the future. The packaging was sturdy and undamaged. I have used this brand before and found it tasted pretty good.
