This size is the best. Good value. Plenty strong enough. Only think you gain with the orange or yellow kryptonite is weight less money in your pocket.

Top quality Bike lock that will fit 26x4 Fat Tire Electric bikes but it arrived in a package that wasn't in the best condition and it was missing the 3mm Hex key to mount the lock holder to the frame which means I had to go to Autozone and pay $12.99 for a set of hex keys just to be able to attach it to frame

One of the few U-locks that would fit my fat tire e-bike.

This is a nice wide, 5x9. Most other locks come come smaller so it can be difficult getting getting the wheel, frame and object you're locking to, with this one it's no issue at all. It's a shame they don't make this size lock in a higher lock rating though, this is the next best thing though and I'm content with it.

Working fine here in Manhattan. Gets a good amount of use daily. Always have to look for signs and other posts to lock up to. The wider size of this lock gives me more options. Decent price too.

Thieves may have a rough time opening this lock, but so will you. Clumsy to use, takes lots of wiggling and jiggling of parts and keys just to lock it, then the same when unlocking. Oh, and the cushioning black washers fall off when you least expect it. Remember when Kryptonite made great stuff?

Totally satisfied with the lock. It is extra wide and will thereby fit around light poles and such of greater diameter. I already had one of these locks but lost one of the keys for it. The keys were registered at Kryptonite and under the "kryptonite key replacement program". Today, after 4 weeks of waiting for the replacement keys, where Kryptonite says they have "processed" my request, I still have not gotten the replacement keys. Therefore I'm glad I bought another one. Summing up: The lock is great but I'm in doubt when it comes to the key replacement program. Also do not throw the lock around with the key inserted in the slot, the plastic top of my key broke when it impacted the ground, as I dropped it one day. Therefore only 4 stars.

Wider lock is great, I can lock my bike attached to many different objects. Lock is heavy and sturdy, probably enough to repel most thieves in my area. Sometimes the locking mechanism doesn't work smoothly and I have to twist the key several times to get it open.

It is the first time I buy a Kryptonite product. I bought this lock as a second lock for the back wheel. As a second lock I guess it's OK, but I would not use it as the main lock. For the front wheel and frame, I use an Abus which is extremely solid. The Abus support was easy to install. The lock has a device that allows you to move it so that it does not bother you when you pedal. The Kryptonite lock comes with a support which is made of a bracket body, a nylon strap, a rubber shim and a wrench. The Kryptonite support was more complicated to install and does not offer the possibility of moving the lock, unless you do not fix it too much to the frame, which is not the best idea, but for the time being it was my solution. In my opinion, the written installing instructions were confusing. Luckily, there is a video which helped a lot. However, I am not completely satisfied with the support. It looks cheap. You have to cut the rubber shim and the nylon strap. The idea is to protect your frame, so in theory it is a good idea, but in the end, the result is that it does not seem solid, at least in my opinion, like the lock itself. I have only used it for one week. Time will tell.
