DRFOSTER - "Marine Collagen Peptides Powder for Joint Support, Hydrolyzed Fish Collagen Type I and III with MSM

Alright . . . gonna track this product from the first day. I've been considering a collagen product for a while, since I don't eat a lot of animal product. I know humans CAN live healthy lives without any external collagen sources. Healthy bodies produce the collagen we need. But, as we age, collagen production is reduced, and the effects are seen in the skin, hair and joints (among other things). There are some studies (not many) on collagen supplements. They show that a supplement "probably" helps with skin and joints. The NIH details the studies they looked at and for both skin and joints, the results were positive. Two things that did stand out when reading the studies - FISH sourced collagen supplements had the best outcomes, and the use of supplemental collagen must be long term (6mo+). So, this should be an interesting test. I'm in my 50s and definitely notice drier skin/hair, and joint pain/decrease mobility. I eat very little animal product, but do eat mostly fresh vegetables & fruit. My animal protein sources is mainly turkey and fish products. But, I don't eat them daily. I'm not a smoker. I mixed one full scoop in with my coffee w/oat milk. It dissolved well (see pic) No smell. No taste issues. It stayed pretty well dissolved as I drank my coffee slowly (didn't clump at the bottom). 30 minutes into the first gulp and no stomach issues yet, but It's also not all the way through. So, I'll update if that changes. <update - about an hour after full consumption, I did have some stomach "burning". 2nd day, I ate something before consuming the collagen in my coffee and had no stomach issues> Be careful opening and handling as it's very thin powder and will blow everywhere. Didn't actually happen to me, but i can see that it could. For now, all I can say is "FINGERS CROSSED" this is useful.

Great product great price . The product easily dissolves in water or anything else you’d like to mix it with great for your skin.

I've only started using it this week, so it's too early to tell how it will make my chronically-injured hip feel, or how thick my hair might get, or how uncommonly wrinkle-free my skin will become, or how much weight I might lose. But I love the fact that it has no flavor, that I can dissolve it easily in room temp water, or add it to my favorite Trader Joe's ginger powder tea, and it has no effect on the taste of either beverage. For that alone, I give it five stars. I'll get back to you on the other effects later.

This is my second time purchasing this collagen. I love it. I add it to my tea every single morning along with Seamoss gel. It dissolves easily and is tasteless. I’m not for sure if it’s helping with my skin. I have lupus so I have certain skin conditions that require more attention.

I just started yesterday, but the reviews I read said there was no taste. There most certainly is a gross taste. Dont drink this in water unless you flavor enhance it.
